I hear/read this year's March Badness event is scheduled for March 11,12,13 this year. is this in place of April Buells day or will April Buells day take place as well? and could this topic be moved over to the "storm front" at the top since it is an upcoming event? buell on... | ||

all I can say is I'm planning on going on a ride the first weekend in April Don't know where yet... but I'm sure it will be Southish of Columbus Ohio | ||

Not March Badness has shrunk down quite a bit. We'll be there, but I couldn't tell how many others will be. | ||

Well, when Cameron and SMHD&Buell parted ways, March Badness suffered a great deal. Cameron is March Badness. When SMHD&Buell closed their doors for the last time, we decided to continue as best we could. The weather has also been against us. Now we do Not March Badness, with not a lot of success. Buelltoberfest always has been a "roll your own" during the best weather, and seems to have hit during a time when people can make the get-away. | ||

Jeremy, aka Ft_bstrd, was the architect of last year's "April Buell's Day". Of course HE didn't show up.  April Buell's Day was inspired after March Badness got lousy weather ~3 years in a row. The idea was that moving the spring N GA Buell gathering a little later in the year would miss the bad weather (rain). On that count, it turned out pretty well (no rain), but attendance was not up to MB levels. March Badness still occurred, so that split the attendance to both events somewhat. | ||

<~~~Working, unless I am racing with Smoke. But if I was off, I'd be there. March Badness Rocks!!! Weather be damned!!! When I went to MB2, I drove up that Saturday morning (7hrs). Didn't know anyone. Followed the demo ride cause I didn't know what to do. Was 1 of 2 people that threw up a tent in the "chilly" mountain air. Got to meet Erik Buell and he signed the fly screen on my S1W. The first of many MBs for me... One of the BEST times I had there, it rained most of Saturday (but we did find some dry for a brief time). SMHD decided to cancel their part. We soldiered on anyways! We cooked out under the woodshed (and drank). Sun was no rain. There are soooo many good memories through the years! (Message edited by Paint shaker on February 04, 2011) | ||

i have been to previous MB's, camped @ two, rode the incredible roads, witnessed the running of the 50's,djkaplan and his trench coat, the rain and sun, as well as taking a dive at the dragon. but once again there does not seem to be much interest. | ||

Awesome!! Saturday there will be a group ride to the Suches loop, and we'll stop at the T.W.O. and have lunch. Then take 60 and 68 to the Cherohala Skyway. | ||
