I think saying that you used to have a Buell and replaced with a Honda on a Honda forum is a little different than saying the same on a Buell forum, and then adding that you should have done it a long time ago. We'll all welcome you as much as you'd like to be here, but pissing on the brand that this forum is all about and being surprised at a little, even light-hearted, backlash is a bit foolish. My one-car garage fits my car, two bikes, snowblower (getting a LOT of use this year!), lawn mower, tons of extra bike crap and tools, parts, firewood... amazing it all gets in there and there's still room to move around. Actually your wrong. Very proud of my Buell. Two national magazine feature's multiple show win's. Read into what you like. What I said I guess you could take it differently. The Honda fits like a glove. I like it.... should of got one along time ago. What I said was not bashing nor taking anything from the Buell. Maybe riding them for 11 years without broadening my horizons was my own mistake. Again nothing against my Buell's and if you would of read my second post that says that. As far as you welcoming me??? LOL Did you come to Homecoming last year??? If you did you had a great time. Thanks I worked my ass off in doing my part to make it what it was. So please don't give me that.... we'll welcome you crap. Its responses like yours that I haven't come here in 2 months. Say one little thing wrong or express how you feel and some take it like you slapped your childs fanny in public. | ||

We no have children, so tough for me to say. If Darrell the dog runs out onto the street, he gets a spanking, or a poke in the ribs, and a "lie down" time out. He hasn't run onto the street in some time now. He's a tough customer, he growls at me while taking his "medicine". Then I reinforce my objection to his misbehavior by ignoring him for a while. You never saw such a forlorn looking doggie. It's to the point where if Michele gives him a command, he looks to me first for approval. By far, best dog I've ever had. Not the smartest, but by far the most loving and loyal. Hey, I took a quick look at your CBR forum. Plenty of Buell hatin' going on there in the archives. Lots of positive too. Just saying, no forum is without it mean hateful types. I didn't see anything offensive aimed at you or your bike here. Just light-hearted banter. Good to know your new bike is better on your back. | ||

Funny but yeah the CBR doesn't hurt me at all. Last laugh did though with the cross roads that lil solo seat. The combo just killed me. I could bring myself to change it though. To much work and money spent to change it. The Honda gives me room to move around. I'm not a short guy nor 180 lbs I once was when I bought last laugh. Your right that theres bashing but ya know not really any directed at me. I frequent a couple of them. I've spent more time lately on a car forum. | ||

and this WAS my garage until a few months ago, currently i am without and my bikes are spread all over the place...        but i think we are about to make an offer on a house that has a decent 24x32 detached insulated garage with a furnace in it yay! and for about 4-5 years this was my garage...       | ||

I just looked at the thread and I think Dana took my comment the wrong way. I was just laughing about how no one bike fits all. I did not like my CBR but I feel my Buells fill my wants perfectly, whereas (my take from Danas comment) he prefers the fit of the Honda... Hence the comment it takes all kinds. It wasnt a jab in any way. | ||

Mike- I agree with your statement and how it came across. I thought maybe someone else put up a post going after Dana and then deleted it. I would have to want to be offended to take that as a jab or offensive. Dana- We all know you are done with your Buell. Keep coming to this board, the majority of us don't care the brand of bike you or anyone else rides as long as you have something positive to add. The people that don't add anything positive are easy to ignore. It was people like you that have been around Buells a long time that made me feel good about my purchase and future with my XT before I even bought it. These type of posts are not how I remember years past. If I walked up to you you would not even know who I am but the first time I met you at Road America 2yrs ago your enthusiasm made an impact on me so anytime I run into you I make sure to say hello. Now I want to thank you for your enthusiasm that helped me love my Buell, other Buell enthusiasts, and motorcycle people in general. It wasn't just you but you were a cog in that machine. | ||

Thanks Sam and you may be correct and how I took the statement. But in all honesty so did the ones that took my statement regarding mine. I don't own a Buell anylonger. I also don't regret my past purchases. I dropped in to see people like you and the many I have met over the years. | ||

I guess after the lashing Bads1 is getting i'm a little leery to say i no longer have a Buell in my garage either. But i do have 2 suzukis a can am spyder, 2 4 wheelers and yamaha xs1100. Another Buell purchase is on the horizon though. | ||

No lashing Tom. Just some communication issues on both ends. I can't say I'd like a CBR 100O RR. Thing is My neighbor's Brother has a 954. I rode it a year ago for a bit.... loved it. I've ridden a R1... didn't like it. Its something about how Honda set up the ergo's and the motor and tranny are silk. The next bike I own who knows but this one will be a keeper for Awhile. | ||

They all need a little work 1125R - Tires, 12k service 1125CR - Tires, 12k service XB12 - Tires, battery, broken wire under dash, right heated grip ain't working, clunk in the front end, need to replace bodywork with xbrr Blast - Needs new belt, needs carb boot replaced, needs to be put back together after I tried doing those, needs rear sprocket, tires, who knows what else. Thats what I can name off the top of my head | ||
