I think that there should be local rides lead by locals that know the roads, and keep them down to a couple hours or so. If someone wants to take a quick guided ride, or go out and tool around on their own, they wont have to worry about being gone all day. I would be happy to help put together routes, and lead a few rides of course. I don't mind riding all day. An idea that I got by talking to a few fellas last year that had the little white S10 loaded to the gills. |

I would suggest that you make reservations near RA if you plan on staying near the track as they fill fast. there is also camping across the road from the track and I believe you can camp at the track as well. will ebr hold something at the shop or the track as I would imagine all will be at RA. should be a good time. sometimes a basic event is equal to or better than a massive one like last year. |

>>>sometimes a basic event is equal to or better than a massive one like last year. Roger that . . . I've been to the biggest AND the smallest. It's all about the people and I'm betting this year is going to be off the charts . . . there's excitement in the air. |

The size is irrelavant to me. Homecoming to me is Buell owners gathering in East Troy. Something I will not miss if there is anything I can do about it. First weekend in June is good for me. |

+1 I'd love to watch the weekend of races at RA, but the Buell group would be scattered for the most part and I'd miss Gus's!! |

Do we have a date for it? If so, can we post it permanently at the top of the thread? REX |

So how many people are going to stay at Alpine Valley? We could do stuff around East Troy on Thursday and Friday and then take a nice little ride to RA on Saturday and Sunday to support Erik and Geoff. I think it'd be pretty cool to have a group of us show up at the races. Yes? |

Im in for Alpine Valley. |

White hair . . .I'm almost certain that plays a role in what makes one wise. My gray is close . . but no contest . . I Gess. Dave nailed it. I had a ball last year . . the year before and the year before. I confess I had fun when "most the Buell owners in the USA" consisted of 12 guys, 2 cases of beer and a BBQ. I'd certainly plan on Gus's for Friday night. I'm not sure exactly what will happen but I do know that Dave and I will be there spinning yarns, telling tales and having the time of our life. I always like to stand Dave next to the old rusted pickup truck turned flower bed and see which is aging most gracefully as the years go by. Saturday? You can be scattered at the track if you want . . .but I've a hankerin' there will be a "BUELL CENTRAL" oasis where you can get refreshments, Buell goodies and hang with fellow Buellolgists. It's all good . . . . |

Gus's is a given, I'd imagine. Same goes for Roma's. Anyone ever get any feedback from Alpine about potentially having a tent area? Not that I'm against sleeping in a bed or anything... |

I'm gonna plan on camping at RA. I did it two years ago and had a blast. I was late to the factory and missed all but a few straglers. So what's the story with rain on the RA AMA weekends anyway ? When I was there in 09 the locals camping next to me (Blake Youngs aunt and uncle) told me it rains every year. |

I enjoyed Alpine Valley last year. OK rooms, nice parking lot for gawking at Buells, trading war stories, just hanging out. MethEd - There's a campground within a couple of miles, if you insist on sleeping with bugs. Quite a few stayed there last year. Except for the torrential rain, I didn't hear anyone complain. |
