The two Nationals on the 10th and 11th will be at the new Short Track. There is other Dirt track racing in the area during the week.
With the Breakfast, the 200, the new Short Track, the IMS-type show, the Demo rides, and reasonably priced camping at the track, (not to mention the really crappy winter we've been having), I'm leaning more and more towards going.

Got my tickets...had a very hard time with the person in ticket sales...she had a had time thinking past the 10 day ticket/camping thing....anyway...after MUCH running around in circles, I have general admission infield tickets that include "overnight parking" in the "orange" area...(the area where the guys out their tents last year)...the cost (including fees) was $99.00 for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday....

Volusia Speedway is 25 miles west of the beach on Rt. 40 for flat track on March 7 & 8. Other cool events I attend every year to avoid the hanky-heads are the AMCA antique meet in Eustis, march 4 & 5 ($3 to get in )and the auction/antique meet at Stetson Univ. on Fri & sat the 11th & 12th. There is a reunion of old racers at the Daytona 200 monument on Wed the 9th at noon, It's a cool chance to learn some Daytona history from guys who raced on the sand.Enter the boardwalk from Main Street, turn left to park right on the cement Boardwalk in front of the monument.

Bump to keep this current...I have been browsing other forums and there are a lot of people planning to camp in the infield...the gist of it is it is 1st come, first serve with no reservations. I will be there on Thursday to set up camp in the orange area...I will have to see how the weather goes to decide if I will ride the bike over, or put in the back of my truck. It's only about 100 miles for me...

Somebody needs to bring a Buell flag or sign : )
I don't have anything bigger than the logo on my jacket...lol

That's awesome! I'll bet all of the 1190RS bikes will ship with it. The article says they are working with the new bike.

Dave - You could sponsor IFM Racing . OK, maybe not as much national exposure, but there are four bikes and we are sponsored by AMSOIL.

I asked Craig about that last year. How much it would cost me. He never answered me.

Well, I guess we will be driving down from Milwaukee on Wed evening sometime. Kinda a seat of the pants/spur of the moment decision, but those are the vacations that usually turn out the best. Looking forward to meeting some new faces.

Those Olde Tyme flat track races are really starting to win me over. Now I have no idea when I'm leaving. If I can even afford to go at all, lots going wrong around here.

If anybody from the Illinois area needs to get their bike there, my dad is going down and has an extra spot or two on the trailer.

Let me know if you are interested.
