Terri and I will be going; but on Saturday this year. I have to take two days off from work the following week, and I can't afford to take Friday off. There won't be many bikes there that I'm interested in buying; but I want to try on a few different helmets to see how they feel, and I want to check out the new Powerlet heated gear. Plus all the usual neat stuff that the show offers. I just bought our tickets online. If you put NYNEWS in the promo code box, you get 20% off. An $18.00 ticket is only $14.40.(plus a "handling" fee). Our two tickets cost $30.40 total.
I hope you guys have a good time in spite of the show. I attended the one in San Mateo and was pretty disappointed in the displays. I wanted to check out Triumph and Guzzi but they weren't there. KTM and BMW were no-shows as well. No Piaggio scooters either. I did give the HD factory rep an earfull about Buell.
The vintage bike display was cool but it was all local content so no guessing what will be there in NY.
If you go a week early . . . let me know. I'll park a bike down there and for $18 I'll let you look at it. Alternatively . . you can pay me in advance and get the $14.40 rate.
Not sure if I am going but keep me posted . . . might be fun to see what's about. If nothing else, let me know and we'll grab lunch before you head in to the show.
I'm going in on Friday. It will be the first year "The Boy" won't be with me. He just got a job and will be training in Atlanta on the show dates. Maybe I'll pack the ol' insignificant other on the back and let her feel special for a couple of hours.

Natalie Jackson. She used to host "Motorcycle Freedom" on Cable TV. She's co-hosted a few times with Michelle Smith (when the producers wanted someone who could actually RIDE and not just look good).
