Any thoughts I may have had over the Arizona shooting being EXACTLY what Obama wanted being wrong, are gone! He must be doing back flips, and have that smug, arrogant grin firmly back in place. If you are talking about a conspiracy that planned the shooting, I think it's a really big stretch. If you are talking about a conspiracy to not let a good crisis go to waste, then you are right on target. Just as there is no freaking way that G.W.Bush planted bombs inside the Twin Towers, I seriously doubt Obama's minions got this lunatic to kill on cue. I see simple reasons on the "9/11 truther" madness, and some apply here. 1. it's the 21st century, no conspiracy of this size can succeed. Someone will talk. 2. the Twin towers fire/structural failure mode is exactly the same as described in "The Towering Inferno" (book) so even the seismograph tracing that one video uses as "proof" clearly shows what really happened. ( yeah, I can read graphs.... ) The book, by the way, was better than the movie. First of the Disaster movies. Now, Obama's crew is certainly on the lookout for a crisis to exploit. They even pretend a crisis into existence when needed, and for certain have coordinated this response to this tragedy. Obama's minions meet each day with "leading" news guys to coordinate the talking points for the day. One of the few actually funny things Rush does today is play the parroting of the exact same lines an multiple shows. ( the other is the music parodies. Rush got boring to me a while ago ) The exact same lines. Sarah Palin, though I doubt she will run for Prez., is, along with the Tea Party the target of this political assassination movement. I personally don't favor Palin, but admire her for her enemies. They are evil. Good going Girl! She must be telling the truth, she angers them so bad. The whole civility schtick is shorthand for "shut up". Nancy Pelosi's regime made it against the rules to call another Congresscritter a lier. What more needs to be said, except honest folk would not make such a rule. | ||

Exposing Global Warming lies are useless. Just as you cannot tell someone of faith, say, just for example, a Christian, ( Or Muslim, or Buddhist, etc.) that their faith has no basis in reality, and get them to change their minds about the whole world in a flash of logic, you can't get GWF's to. Faith is without need of proof. A "True Believer" cannot be swayed by facts. Proof is lies to them, and your actions in trying to convince them of objective reality are evil and cruel. ( from their point of view, you, you...nazi loving denier!! ) My basic inclination is to not pay them. I'm anticipating jail. | ||

Blake, while I agree that the AlGorians are demented, the difference between "religion" and "cult" is poorly defined. I go with, you are raised in a religion, you join a cult. It's imperfect, but seems to fit. The AlGorians have a religion. True, they just recently heard the words of the Prophet Gore, but they have always believed that they are right and you are wrong. Also Blake, let us say for sake of argument, ( and I'm well aware a better thread for this exists ) That I have a brilliant, provable and convincing case that there is no God, and all reality is mathematical, logical, and straightforward. ( I don't by the way ) Or that Jesus was a great prophet, but that the "son of God" thing was really a metaphor he used that people confused in the re-telling. They've been doing that for years on the Daily Show. And it's still funny cause every year it gets worse. Before the clips might have 5-10 people all parroting the same talking points, not it's more like 20+. And the left and right both do it. | ||
