"Faggot" was censored around here for a few years but now most stations play it uncensored. Censoring the word doesn't make it disappear. On another front, three Iowa judges who shoed in the gay marriage dealio last year were removed by vote in November. Hot topic at the state capital currently. I don't see what "real" problem was solved by allowing it
Utter bullsh#t, and yes, we endure this kind of pitiful crap on a daily basis. It seems as though all someone has to do is whine about the possibility of something hurting someone's feelings, and there you go, one more thing that you had a choice of taking or leaving is left to those who somehow are more wise, and acting for the "greater good". Worst of it is, it probably isn't even someone who is gay that is doing the complaining, just some dick with no agenda beyond finding some legal loophole to garner attention. I was talking to a local musician earlier this evening who is gay, and he is pissed that this has happened, and is at a loss as to why ANYONE would be offended by the song to begin with. A$$holes are everywhere.
