Got a buddy trying to ship an outboard motor from MO to OH... Anyone have any experience with either uship.com or shipalmostanything.com? |

Yes, contracted three bike shipments with contractors listed on U-ship. Two bikes in one load from Alaska to Arizona, one from North Carolina to Arizona, one from Arizona to Florida. All flawlessly done, within time, no problems, no hassles, and didn't have to use the "screw it up in transit" insurance. |

I've gotten two long distance bikes through UShip, and sent one to it's new owner. Absolutely no probs on any transaction. |

Do not I repeat DO NOT ever ever ever hire 'All Coasts Transport' or 'Nationwide Autoshippers'. Trust me you would be better off just bringing whatever you want to ship on a cruise ship and tossing it over once land was no longer in site !!! I'm in the middle of a $7400 law suit now !!! |

I've used uShip a couple of times. Give yourself the widest window possible for getting bids. The prices will keep dropping from sticker-shock level to reasonable. Use their on-line ratings to make sure your guy has some experience shipping what you might want, or that you are willing to compromise specific requirements. I had a couple of bikes shipped, and coordinating pickup and drop-off got a little busy, depending on how well the shipper communicated. I'm a detail guy and need to know every step, so that part was a tad stressful for me, depending on the speed of responses I got on inquiries. I used a couple of one-person shows, so I had to be a little flexible to accommodate any flaps that came up during their runs, as most are trying to maximize utilization of space and in my case were still negotiating loads while they were en-route. Overall I was happy and would use the system again in a heartbeat...barring any negative comments like above! |

Used U-Ship twice with excellent results. Used cheapest bidder once and one that was more but seemed to have the best credentials. Didn't have a problem either time. |
