Yes it's true, got phone & t'internet hooked up yesterday. Now living a stone's throw from the Swiss border near Geneva. Nice house with full basement & stunning view of the Alps. I'll put some pic's up when the weather is kind enough to take some. Only fly in the ointment is the job I had lined up has fallen through, but there's plenty work round these parts so shouldn't be too much of a prob. |

Keep on eye on those Large Colliding Hadrons, Grump, and let us know if any black holes show up in your basement.

We owe him that, he's been over here a couple of times. Reminds me of a Homecoming when an unamed person said "Hey Newfie, we should come up and visit you next year!". |

Could be fun Grumpys Bike and breakfast new income stream. Many of us would love to ride that area. But prefer some one with local knowledge Eidelwiess is great but a Buell riders trip would be nice we can let a few closet BMW riders in too. |

Here's a few pic's I snapped from the terrace/balcony at lunchtime today. Looking out over the valley. Geneva, if you look just left of centre you can see the water jet. Tip of Mont Blanc, peeking over the hills.

Geneva Airport is like only 20 mins away, I'm pretty sure HD at Annecy rent bikes but I can't imagine that would thrill any of you much. I'll try & find out if there's any local rental options. Got a big room in the basement will sleep 5 (2 doubles & a single so you'd better be friends). |

Good news today, the guy with the job I had lined up called me today & asked me to pop in & see him this afternoon. Short version is he needed an experienced driver rapido, so we negotiated a little & I got a contract. Loading Switzerland tomorrow morning to tip Toulouse France, then reload for Geneva out of Barcelona in Spain. Home Saturday. Oh the wheels on the bus go round & round, round & round..... |

Grump....those pics are great, thanks. I'm sure they dont give justice to the actual views. Best of luck. |
