The only person at fault was the person that pulled the trigger (or assisted him in some way). While many things may have influenced this lunatic such as political or religious rhetoric we cannot start pointing fingers at any group. Does anyone honestly believe that ANY group, political/religious or otherwise, would endorse or condone this massacre? (*except maybe the extremist muslims, they seem to rather enjoy taking credit for killing people...) superdave |

The Left shrieks about polite discourse. Of course they do, that is, when it fits their own political agenda. Are Americans supposed to watch this country be destroyed by Socialism and Progressivism silently? There is nothing polite about this cancer. Wake the F up. |

As a part of the left I would like to send a resounding NO to blaming the right. I blame the far right and far left for a lot of violence and injustice but this was the fault of a whack-job. |

On the other side of the coin I find Palin to be a twit and hope she fades away. She does incite people to a degree. She(and a few other like her) are the worst part of the right and the main reason i shy away from the republican party. Her Blood Libel comment was a dumb ass thing to say. However once again i do not fault her for any shooting. |

Left blames Right, Right blames Left. Blah, blah, blah. It's the same the whole world over. No one will ever let a good tragedy (& an opportunity to besmirch the opposition) go to waste. Political point scoring is anethema to me! Whatever led the gunman to do this is irrelevant. We all hear the same things all the time. Fortunately, we do not all act as this individual did. There is no one, entity, party, thing or great turtle in the sky to blame for this other that the individual who pulled the trigger. We all have free will and I am grateful that the VAST majority of us get to exercise our decision making in ways that do not involve the taking of life. |

I still blame Jody Foster for inciting Hinkley to shoot Reagan. I still blame hard rock music for the Columbine shootings. Now the left is calling this an act of terror. "I was terrorized, weren't you?" If that were true, I suppose Charlie Manson and David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) were terrorists and not a mass murderers. |

Drkside79, We usually land on polar opposite sides of issues but I tend to agree with you about Palin. Thanks for showing intellectual integrity by not equating the shooting with anything other than the nutjob who pulled the trigger. You'll make a fine young Conservative some day if you keep this up. -- Former Rabid Liberal. (No I am not a Current Rabid Conservative, thanks). |

This poll is as disingenuous as it gets. You have a choice of agreeing with Palin that the shooter is at fault, or ignoring who's fault it is and saying that political rhetoric has gotten completely out of control. Of course political rhetoric is out of control. We are trying to pin a mass murder on a political activist where we have zero evidence that she had ANY part in the killers mindset, and all the evidence we have actually points to the killer, if anything being a leftist wacko. When to the lies stop? |

As a old man I have watched politics for a long time(74 yrs. old) I have found that if you dig deep enough you will find a liberal under the pile of crap. |

These polls don't make sense. Read the answers. You could vote to agree with all three points. Non of them say it's her fault. |

I haven't read Pravda in a long time. Used to be a favorite of mine. I'd go pick up Aviation week and space technology & Pravda at the same news stand. My game was to see if this weeks Pravda had last weeks Aviation... articles. Often it did. ( The Soviet Embassy would send Aviation week back to the Iron Curtain in the diplomatic bag. ) It was also amusing to see the utter fabrications, especially on those events I witnessed myself or had buddies involved with. This occasionally led to awkward moments. Getting a letter from a bud at Ft. Collins with everything between the "Hey, Dude:" and the "illegitimi non carborundum" sign off blacked out was bizarre. Especially since it was my letter to him! Now, Pravda is a far better source than the NYT for American news. ( still crap for Russian though. ) It's way more honest than MSNBC. I, of course, don't blame Sarah Palin for this madman's rampage. The local Sheriff gets ire for his bs., though I understand his power to stop the guy before hand was limited. I blame Jodie Foster. There's a great joke about a letter to Hinkly from Nancy Regan that many would find offensive. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/256965/rhetor ic-and-perceived-status-victor-davis-hanson |

Art making fun of Christians ok. Art making fun of allah bad Music and movies with violence is freedom of expression. Passionate political talk from tv and radio is bad(if its conservative) Saying with passion that the president and democrats are undermining the constitution and wrecklessly growing government is horrible but making violent books and movies about Bush, hanging dummies made to look like conservatives and the president is overlooked by progressives and a portion of the media. |

Bush and his cronies did so much damage to the constitution there's not much left for the dems to gut. Not that they're not trying. Then again, it seems the republicans have some control back, I don't see anything changing for the better! |
