"has anybody got a video camera?" When you hear that, you know it's not going to end well. Especially with all the spectators hanging around for a show - always a formula for success. Epic fail. Shoulda given it more gas - no balls, no babies. (that had to suck - Ouch!!) |

I don't care how dumb that was - it just makes me wince. No bike deserves that. |

They had enough people sitting/standing around to manually LIFT the motorcycle into the truck, much less push it up the ramp. What a bunch of maroons. |

Wow.... 4 people by the garage, 6 people standing by the ramp, 1 guy in the van, 1 guy riding the bike and 1 person filming. 13 people! Hugh's right they could have lifted the bike straight up with that many guys. It would have been TOO EASY to do it right with a ramp that wide and that many hands to help steady the bike. Just an idiot purposefully doing it the wrong way just to show how much of an idiot he is. I've pushed my XB9 up a steeper, narrower ramp in the rain with only one other guy and my girlfriend helping. I would have loved to had a 2' wide ramp and 6 guys to help that day. Idiots! My X1 goes in with two people and no ramp. Lift the front wheel onto the tailgate. Put a steel rod through the rear axle and lift. Easy. |

Ouch! What Boog said. Timidity rarely works out very well in such matters. Ever notice that visualizing failure in such scenarios usually leads to just such failure? Seems like the guy was mainly thinking about falling and being caught. Kinda like when playing golf and becoming pre-occupied with the water-hazard pretty much guarantees your ball is going straight into the drink. I quit playing golf regularly years ago. Couldn't afford to keep myself in golf-balls. LOL! I don't call it "golf"; for me it's "ball-hunt". Same idea. My game did improve alot when I stopped worrying so much about hazards, had a beer or three, and just stepped up and whacked the ball. (Message edited by blake on January 07, 2011) |

"I quit playing golf regularly years ago" Me too. It made my Tourette's syndrome flare up. I didn't have a problem losing balls in lakes. I rented the lake balls from the pro shop, then returned them over the course of the day. |

That's brilliant Hootowl! Nice option if I can scare up a truck but not a ramp. |

DD- looks like one of those Honda ACE's or a latter day version - good for parting out now... City- GEEZ! How did that turn out? (BTW, hate to but got to- that's "Sikh"...) You gotta give more details to THAT story... Once I helped some guys load a bagger into the back of a van- they then proceeded to "tie down" the bike with heavy ropes, NOT tie-downs- turns out they were all electrical linemen, they REALLY knew how to tie a knot- like an Eagle Scout 1%'er... the FL was finally set up quite nicely and very secure... |

Dummy Epic fail for sure! The point at which he had the most momentum,he tried to put his foot down. The "look where you want to go" concept worked great for him. He stopped looking into the truck as soon as his front tire hit the ramp. |

Not sure why he pulled the clutch and let it rev in instead of continuing his momentum. He wanted to fall I guess. |

I spent years traveling the county with both an S2 and an S1 in the back of a Ford pickup. I always carry a 2" x 12" and have never dropped one. There's a way to do it and a way NOT to do it . . . that idiot was doomed before the film started. I've watched folks ride'em in many times and it ALMOST always works. I have NEVER ridden one it, I'm not that good. Idiot. |

I used to ride up a ramp made out of two steel"T" fence posts welded together. Basically a U channel.Great for the dirt bikes.......too chicken to try it with the Buell............so then I use "push" help...but I do ride up a 2x8 plank if I have a low spot to park the pick up in.......... |
