I know this isn't Buell related so don't beat me too bad. I don't see much action in the race section so put it here. I'm doing a track day at Homestead on my 97 Honda F3 with a 5" rim. The stock tire is 160. It's been almost a decade and they don't produce the 170s I used to run. I called Dunlop racetire service and they recommended their 190! He said it was sized like a 180 in most other race tire manufacturers. He said the 160 would be stretched and make the profile flatter vs. triangular. http://racetireservice.com/specials/ Not bad for the $ --- 3 tires for less than the price of 2 I'm going to call other companies too but wanted some ideas first. I'll be using warmers and don't think I want a trackday/street tire. I've raced Homestead and turn 1 and coming off the back is a bit sketchy with race rubber. Another bonus is I could also use these on the CR as take offs and don't think I could with the 160. |

The Dunlop Q2 in the 190 size recommends a 5.5-6" rim. |
