Our digs are better, the food is killer and this is going to be a top notch year for ASBN and our Buell enthusiasm. We have a great schedule planned for this year! |

it is American Sport Bike Night, from Northern Cal. we started 12 years ago, and had several names. Some of those had the word Buell in it, and Harley asked we not do that. We talked with Tat Marcy, which owned American Sport Bike at the time. WE asked if we could use American Sport Bike Night, since we met at night. He thought about it for a while and gave us the permission. http://www.americansportbikenight.net REX |

It had been very rainy and cold in Northern Cal that night. There were a couple of bikes, but not a lot that night. We had to bring items for the giveaway table, sound equipment, etc. At one time, we would have more Buells in the parking lot that you would see at other events around the country. |

Looks like you had a fun night. From the pictures it looks like most of you enjoyed being handed the piece of paper vs. the boxes. Lots of smiles from passing around that paper. J/K I wish I was there |

ASBN is a GREAT and legendary story . . .

This gets better . . . I was sitting in my office one day at Buell when I got a call from Tat. He was thinking of starting a company and naming is Buell something or other. We had a talk and I told him about the recent (you guys do recall Buell American Motorcycle LTD and the legal battle, right?. . . . fortunately all the files and news articles are buried somewhere in the basement) legal tussle. I also told him about another fellow, Jay Hawley, who'd called me the just weeks earlier wanting to start a club called the BUELL OWNERS GROUP. I gave him the same talk. Of course . . . what I didn't mention was that Phil Wolfe, Dr. Don Chase and I filed papers with the Secretary of State claiming that name in 1988. But . . . that's another story. Remind me to tell you . . . .
