Hey fella's we have some German Buellers coming into NYC early March for a birthday was wondering if anybody was up for a meet-n-greet badweb and Dino BBQ style?
They are gonna see if they can rent a Buell or 2 if the weather holds and looking to find some nice Buell stuff as the cupboard is fairly dry in their part. I am gonna get em some NJ Buell stuff and see whats available elsewhere

Their timing could be spectacular . . .

quote:

NEW YORK CITY

March Weather:

* Average High: 50°F (10°C)
* Average Low: 35°F (2°C)
* March tends to be rainy, but for the most part, temperatures stay above freezing
* there is an average of over 4 inches of precipitation in March

What to Wear:

* pack an umbrella -- you'll be happy to have it when it starts to rain
* a waterproof jacket or trenchcoat is recommended -- while umbrellas are helpful, nothing compares with a good raincoat
* pack sweaters and long pants to wear -- it can be cool, particularly at night and when it's wet, it feels even colder
* closed toe shoes, comfortable for walking and water-resistant if possible

March Perks:

* cooler weather continues to make bargain accommodations and flights to New York City available
* March is typically less crowded than April and May
* St Patrick's Day is celebrated enthusiastically by New Yorkers of every pursuasion, with Irish pubs being quite crowded on March 17
* less likely to have travel troubles due to snow than in January and February
* the Easter Parade is a great chance to have an "only in New York" experience

March Cons:

* rainy, chilly weather

Good to Know:

* Many American universities have a week of vacation in March called "Spring Break" -- while many students head to the beach, college students often visit New York City if they live nearby.
* Easter Weekend can mean closings on the Friday before Easter, as well as on Easter Sunday. However, Easter Monday, which is often a holiday in Europe, is not commonly observed and will have little impact on stores, restaurants and New York City institutions.

March Highlights/Events:

* St. Patrick's Day Resources | St. Patrick's Day Parade | St. Patrick's Day Pictures
* Ice Skating in New York City
* Easter Directory | Easter Day Parade

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I thought I saw somewhere that Tommy Castro will be playing at BB Kings in NYC mid March. Wednesday the 13th I think.

Enjoy the show, someday I'll get to see him play.

Yeah. . .and if Jaime goes . . . I almost always go just to see what his Aerostich looks like at the moment.

I am considering officially renaming him . . . "Jaime Moneysworth"

Well, the left arm and left leg abrasion patch is brand new and bright red. The rest of the suit... not so much...

But I may just wear the Darien for the occasion.

I look forward to crashing from time to time just to read the funny post repair notes from the Aeroelves.
