It looks like everything happened at the beginning of this month. We are lucky that we caught it so fast.
The only place I have been is Buelltoberfest.

My first thought was someone at Macy's.
With all the holiday temp help being hired, it wouldn't be that hard.

Just sucks... but I'm looking forward to getting home to the new puppy!

Once the spammer gets your account info, it takes a new pw and new security questions/answers to foil them. Last I checked the originator tapping into your yahoo account was showing an IP from Turkey. That could be after going through a number of proxies though, I think, so who knows.

Someone got my CC info from Bank of America back in 2000. Even though I reported it stolen as soon as I found out, BOA got a judgment against me and has seized every checking, savings, CD or other bank account I had or have had since. The judgment is STILL on my credit report despite being illegally obtained. I have just now (maybe) found a lawyer to help me fight this.

BTW, the judgment was for $4500, to date they have seized in excess of $25000 with no end in sight. BEWARE!!!

Way too many parts of your story make no sense.

I believe these might be the "hungry ghosts" mentioned earlier.

Or maybe these. Not sure.

Some helpful advise I got from an NYPD fraud detective that has so far been working.
Do not sighn the back of your credit/debit cards.
Instead, write with bold permanent marker,
" PHOTO ID ONLY !!! "
Signatures can be forged, it would be too much trouble for them to make up Id's too.
Also, use only one designated card with a low limit for Internet purchases.

I never use my PIN for purchases, instead, always choose credit option at check outs. If it is a debit card, it will automatically come out of your account as a debit purchase and you won't be charged a bank fee.

When at an ATM. cover the keypad with one hand as you enter your PIN.

Good luck

Tim

EXTREMELY condensed version, the "theft" disagreement w/BOA lasted 5 years. The financial screwing is courtesy of Mel Harris, a $$%##*#$#*# New-York-City scumbag, dirtball lawyer and is ongoing. If you think New York State does not allow and support this kind of extortion, I'm sorry. (Other states, too, I'd bet.)

Merry Christmas!!!
