I hate to throw cold water on this, but I wonder how long the fascination would last with this. It appears to have little practical value. I also don't think it's capable of high speed without sever bouncing. I say that based on the video and the hull shape.
Reshape it so it will work in big surf and you would have something fun. I think it would be a bit fragile in big surf though.
I would rather stay with a windsurfer, or kite-board. Much cheaper and the fun factor has staying power.

Making it look like a shark is gay, IMHO. It could obviously be made to handle better if they would forgo that gimmick. And how deep will it go? Skimming right under the surface is kinda neat, but why didn't they go any deeper?

Don't really get it.
Having to carry an air bubble for the pilot won't allow it to submerge any farther than that, probably even at WFO throttle. Then, launching and coming back down HAD to be less than "comfortable"...
Somehow I wanted to see retractable hydrofoils, a SCUBA system, ballast built around the pilot- THEN this might become a "stunter"foil....
