Finally found a Blast in the year, condition, mileage, and in the price range I was looking for to join the family. It's like having each of the major Buell engine food groups. Now I've got another bike to modify. Gotta buy the 'White Album' all over again... Nels |

Good grief you guys have good eyes! Guell is absolutely correct. The car with the spoiler in the garage is my '94 RX-7. Nels |

I was about to add: As long as you're talking "Food Groups," how could you forget the potatoes (tubers)? |

You guys are a baaaad influence! "No, no, no, no, no, don't you f****** realize, man, that if my wife comes home and finds another Buell in her house, I'm gonna get divorced? All right? No marriage counseling, no trial separation, I'm going to get f****** divorced, okay?" But yeah, I've already started doing some research on the S1 Lightning. Just don't say anything to my wife, ok? I am single... and available to test drive as many Buells as you can fit in your garage... oh, and I have no career prospects up here in the frozen tundra at the moment, either... did I mention I have an XB9SX and an M2L also??? |

Whatever, I just took a look at your M2L, it is a shame she has to go, truly a nice specimen of the model. Unfortunately the stable is full atm but were I in the market it would be negligent of me to not take good hard look at your M2L. Best of luck in finding a good home for her, I'm sure she'll make some lucky owner very happy. Nels |

Hybridmomentspass, Admittedly there is an ulterior motive for the Blast. The Blast was the first motorcycle I ever rode and it was in a Rider's Edge program back in 2006. In fact I think the model I rode was a 2005 although it was it was "Battle Blue" instead of black. My son was born in 2005 and since the Blasts are discontinued I thought it would be neat to find an '05 model Blast to keep for him until he was old enough to learn on it like his old man did. Besides, there aren't a whole lot of 5 year olds in his class that can say they already have a Buell. Of course this doesn't preclude the old man from having some fun on the little bike and modding the heck out of it. Nels |

i understand that, understand your motives. but im still jealous as hell over the FD, the 911, and the 60s stang. I have a R, so the CR Im not as jealous over, but still love them. And I'd LOVE to add a XB to my stable t have my own hat trick ( S3, 1125R), and if I could get a XB it'd be a Lightning or a Uly, so you have what I'd want. |

We had a 64 1/2 and then a 66 Stang with HiPo 289. Miss her... BAD. Guessing "Red" there is a 65? 'Twas the car I learned to drive on. |

Hybrid, Back in the day I always wanted to buy a '91 FC Turbo and Convertible and swap hood, engine, tranny, and ECU but never had the money. FD's with an LS1 are just ridiculous! Ultimate rubber to smoke converters. Nels |

Slaughter, You are of course correct. It's a '65. First Guell and now you. It amazes me how much my fellow badwebbers pick up from just few snippets in the background. Nels |

the guy that bought the FC from me was doing just that he had a vert and wanted the turbo motor and hood. I'd gotten the car for 600 from a friend, motor was starting to go, so I turned around and tried to sell it or part it out. I sold it for under a grand and it had several goodies on it (greddy BOV, autometer gauges, greddy turbo timer etc) |

O.K. let's test my knowledge on the 641/2 to 66 Mustangs 641/2- Coupe only body 6 volt electrical generator, horizontal bar speedo with idiot lights in-line 6 and 260 V-8 engines mesh grill and mustang under plastic on the gas cap. 65- Coupe , convertible and fastback bodies, 12 volt alternator, 289 V-8 engine replaced the 260 grill dash and gas cap remained the same as 641/2 66- same as 65 but the grill went to horizontal bar, the dash went to a circular speedo with accessory gauges and the gas cap was all aluminum |

Jumbo - you hit it right on the head, also note the side 'scoop' on the '65 is just a chrome vertical bar while the '66 had 3 chrome horizontal strakes. Gofast - ain't nothing like a rotary at the track! Spitting out horrendous fireballs and sounding like a pissed-off chainsaw. Turbocharged rotary: Beware of flying apex seals. Nels |
