they are a car dealer took it on trade. these guys have been around for a loooooong time. it's in their museum. now it's entirely possible something is wrong. more likely they just don't want to deal with it as they do cars not bikes and the unemployment rate here is higher than most places in the country. | ||

I was just saying it's sounds too good to be true. Usually when something sounds that way it is. On the other hand if I had a spare $10K floating around i would buy it for the parts. Ohlins front and rear, forged Marchesinis, carbon fibre bodywork plus all the good internals to the engine. BUT it would have to be the REAL deal If you are going to look at it have someone who knows that bike and can verify it's pedigree. | ||

No, I didn't get it. Some bum beat me to it. For the life of me, I don't know why anyone in Florida needs one. Actually, I was calling for a friend who had wadded his 999s. I hate to admit it, but the 1098 R might be just a little too much bike for me, and I prefer my 999s. It is very easy to ride, I like the look of it better, it's lower and slower and the very last thing in the world that I need is another forty horsepower on my motor bike. On the other hand,  It is an incredibly advanced twin, and I do have room for it in my pits, now that Lil' Blackie is gone.  | ||
