Just saw some footage of the aftermath of the tornado in Caledonia, IL. They showed a shot of a yellow Buell Blast in the rubble. Anyone from here? |

Looking at it laying there, it did look like it would be fine to ride again. It was funny when I saw it and said that was a Buell. I got the look from my wife, like how could you tell from that shot. I backed up the DVR and paused it for her. Even she was able to see it at that point, even though no logo was visible. Pretty funny moment. I hope all is well with the owner though. |

Lived in Tornado Alley back in the early 80s. Although it's fascinating to watch a tornado you only need to see it up close and personal once before you head for cover every time the alert comes on TV. Like they say, it's not THAT the wind blows, it's WHAT the wind blows. Can't imagine getting hit by a flying thumper |

Probably would run. Daughter learning to drive ran over the top of my Blast. Had to jack her jeep up to pull the bike out from underneath. Put it upright. Took the bent mirrors off it. Fixed the turn signals with popsicle sticks and electrical tape and rode off into the sunset. I'd like a bigger bike, but for my daily urban commute, ain't nothing like the Blast. |
