Hello, I am looking for a way to transport a buell from minnesota to texas.from texas the bike will be shipped to the netherlands. A dutch company offers me to arrange the transport in the u.s for 650$.this doesn't include shipping from texas to the netherlands. Is this a normal price ? Any advise ? |

Shipping is what I do. That price is about right. I'm betting on the domestic side it travels by Forward Air in one of these containers. Over the pond, it could go by any number of air freighter services. The Dutch are the kings of moving large objects, I'd say it's a safe bet you're in good hands. |

yea i just bought a bike in Wisconsin and rode it to Texas for under $200 including gas, lodging, food, etc my quote for shipping was right at $600 ride it if you can or ship it straight from Minnesota to the Netherlands, that alone sounds pricey. |

id be willing to do it for ya(located in desmoines ia) but 600 would pretty much cover only fuel in my Tundra. I would stick with commercial shipping |

That $650 domestic price likely includes insurance. Key factor there. Shipping in a steel container is the way to go. Wooden crates tend to get forked up. |

I shipped my bike from California to New York this past June using www.haulbikes.com. Service was door to door (that is, picked up in my friend's driveway, dropped off in my driveway) and cost me $568 with plenty of insurance included - far more than the bike was worth. Using the website I was quoted something north of $700, but on the phone they told me $568 and verified it twice for me, so be sure to call for a quote. The only downside was timing - it took a month from when I placed the order to when it showed up to me. The company ships ONLY motorcycles and the truck is all set up to do just that. No crating needed, don't need to drain gas, etc. Overall I was very pleased with them and won't hesitate to use them again. If you're getting very short term shipping (delivery to TX inside of 2 weeks from placing the order) for that $650, I'd say it's a fair price. |

If you'd asked a month ago, I would gladly have ridden it down and flown back to MN. Sadly, the riding season ended when a half-foot of white salty winter blew in this week. |

Here ya go. Here is the info for my In-laws Motorcycle transport business Bullet Transport Galen Kurth 515-238-7633 Talked to him today. From Minneapolis to Houston would be no more than $600. that includes full coverage with no deductible insurance. |
