Yeah it opened last week. Lots of Lines. I'll drive past it tonight and see how packed it is.. Let me know when you are coming since I live < 10 miles from it (As does XL1200R). But when you come, At the end of river st in Troy, you can get on RT 2 going east, Take that to MA, as the twisties at the MA/NY border are very nice |

I was thinking of heading to Manhattan Sunday for a little lunch if I can clear my schedule. I don't even know where Troy is? |

Up near Albany. About 200 miles north of Manhattan. |

Terri & I live just off Rt.2 in Leominster, Mass. A ride to Troy sounds like it might be in order. How about Saturday after Thanksgiving for Lunch? |

Does anyone have the address of the Dinosaur in Troy? I need to get directions. According to the 10-day forecast, it's going to feel like winter. Terri & I'll be wearing the heated jacket liners and gloves. When I told her that the high temp was only supposed to hit 39°F, but folks were still interested in going, she said, "Great! we'll be riding, then!" She is truly one in a million! |

It's only a couple of blocks off Rt. 2! It'll be easy to find. What time do you want to meet? Noon? (It's a good time for lunch) |

crusty it is in the old fresnos. If you are coming west on RT 2. Make A right onto RT 4 (4th st) and go straight. You can't miss it. WIll be on your left. (it is basically on the corner of Federal St and River St. I'll try to be over there around noon as well. Might have the bike. Might drag the family out in the cage. Not 100% sure..(Mainly cause if I go without them I might not be welcome at home..LOL) |

I live < 10 miles from it (As does XL1200R). Yup, 5 miles for me, more or less "down the road" from my house. Tried to go last night, the wait was an hour and a half and we were there kind of early, around 6pm. The parking is also pretty tight - small spaces and narrow lanes and I'm not sure if I noticed any bike parking, so be prepared to get a little creative with that if you decide to go and it's crowded. There is parking on the other side of the bridge that's walkable if need be (you go under the bridge). The good news if we get there and the wait is just too long, there are other options right there in the immediate area. Who am I kidding, we'll just wait. I'm down for whenever you guys want to go. I'll plan on next Sat for now, and I'll be on the bike unless it's actually snowing. |

Tomorrow. Terri and I will ride out to Troy, NY. It's a 3+ hour ride each way, but the electric gear should be up to the task. We'll be there at High Noon, 'cause there's a Big Ass Pork Plate that's calling me. |

I'm a definite "MAYBE." I'm torn between spending Saturday putting my 1125R back together, or just heading up to Troy to meet everyone. The new Dino BBQ is the only one I haven't visited yet. Decisions, decisions... |

Brad; we'll be thinking of you as we slather our steaming heaps of meat with Wango Tango sauce. Take heart; Christmas is coming! I won't save my left overs and mail them to you, though. |

Won't be able to make it. My Sunday dinner plans got switched to Saturday... and if I eat lunch at the Dinosaur I'm not going to be all that hungry by dinner time (and I don't even know if I'd make it back in time either). Some other time I guess. |

Just got home, I took more side roads as the slower pace allowed my heated gloves to keep up. I am hungry again now, I'm tempted to drive back up for dinner. |

Terri and I got home about an hour ago. We had a great time until we got stopped for speeding on the Mass. Pike The State Trooper clocked me at 87 in a 65, and Terri at 85. Now we'll have to go to Court and hope to get the fines reduced. In spite of that, it was a good run. Terri took a few pics: Here's the newest Dinosaur
We arrived a bit early, so we secured parking right by the front door.
Mark, Frank Bob and me just after we were seated.
The four of us after our food arrived
Gearing up for the ride home
We encountered a bit of snow flurries on the way home, and the temperatures never did get as high as they were predicted to be, but we had fun. It will be a good ride next summer when the temps and a bit more congenial. This latest Dinosaur seemed to be a bit more polished than either the Original in Syracuse or the first incarnation in New York City, but the food was every bit as tasty. I think that everybody enjoyed it. |

Looks like you had a good time. I am sorry I missed it. I had the BBQ jones though. I went to Round Up BBQ for supper. Round Up BBQ is where we ended the Headless Horseman Run this year. |
