The first time I saw Leno was on Letterman. Jay actually rode his bike out onto the stage, shut it down, closed the petcock and flipped out the jiffy stand. After his performance, he presented Letterman with a gift wrapped box. This was obviously not part of the script. Letterman looked at it like a bomb but opened it, revealing a necklace made of human teeth. Leno pulled up his lip with his thumb after saying "me and all the bros went in on it for you".
I'm also a big springsteen fan I grew up on the same streets of Asbury Park NJ. Many of the things talked about in his songs were part of our daily lives. I'll bet few of you have ever been to he Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Bruce would show up there un-anounced and get up on stage with whatever local band was playing at the time, and just start jamming. {Not like they would refuse him}. Those were my "glory days".
