alright so i decided i want to get a GPS for christmas. I'm not looking for a stricly motorcycle specific GPS. I'd like to use it for both my car and bike if possible.

I know that some of them are bluetooth capable. which i am hoping means it would sync with my q2 headset so i can use it on the bike. I also want it to have a good battery life. so that i can actually use it while riding.

i know it sounds like i should just get a bike specific GPS, but they seem to cost a bunch more than a normal garmen or tom-tom and i would use it for my car as well.

So i'm curious as to what a good GPS is for say... $200 or less?

main criteria are
-bluetooth that will sync with my q2

- good battery life so i can use it on the bike

-under $200

-somethign reliable of course

IMO it's got to be a Garmin. You can get a lot of GPS for $200 now.

Iman I don't know if you're a costco member, but they have a $70 off coupon for the day after thanksgiving on a tomtom. And I think you can buy it online and still use the coupon. I have the cheaper tomtom I paid around 100 and I really like it. But you have to spend a little more for the bluetooth, not much more from the ones I was just looking at at costco. I'm thinking about upgrading to the bluetooth one as well and giving mine to the wife as she wants one

I have the Garmin NUVI 550. Around $200.00

It's great! It's a "crossover" GPS. 3.5" screen. Water Proof! Has: Scooter, car/truck, bicycling, walking/hiking modes.

There is the 500, and 550 models. One has topo and US maps(500), the other North America(550).

I've had it on the bike all year, and it's held up great.

Here are some great deals on Garmin models:
