Before I start, I'm a news junkie. I listen to everything. Some of is funny. Some of it is true B/S. Over the last 6 months I have kinda turned everything off except my cel phone. I found a radio app that plays radio stations that are on the web. I've been listening to allot of talk radio lately. It's kind of funny since the leftest radio does not stay on here in wichita. To the point. What all do you listen to for talk radio. Right, Left, or Center? If you can give me a name of who you listen to and a station. Rush, Alex Jones, Bill Press, Alan Colmes, BBC. What ever. If you feel like your going to be targeted, email me. |

I listen to a Christian station all the time. Mostly it's bible study from the Calvary Chapel. |

The only time I listen to radio is in the morning. Russ Martin on 97.1 (Dallas, Tx) - crude, funny, doesn't hold back. |

I haven't done so much as switch a radio on since the advent of the MP3 player. What was that 2002? Not once since. I particularly like the way running my own playlists filters out DJ's, advertising and idiots. What do you get from listening to talkback? Serious question - I just get vexed listening to it. My dad likes Rush, Savage, and Levin. I don't care for talk radio, I prefer music, and the radio stations around here play the same crap over and over, so I listen to cds or my ipod. |

Rush, Savage, Coast to Cast, Alex Jones, Al Sharpton. The last 3 are more for entertainment whereas the first two are to hear ideas and talk that I agree with. |

I will stream Beck, but really his best stuff is the bibliography of his sources. Any talking head can babble, show me your proof is a whole nother thing. I have read more in the last year since college. Opinions abound, be sure you are not being led by them. |

NPR, nothing but. We have one all news radio station in Chicago, but it is more commercials than info. Awful. When it is exceptionally dry, 80's rock on MP3. |

Listen to the Leftie station in the AM, when I can get it, Stephanie Miller I think. Knowing that there are people out there that hate me that much gives me the kick in the scrotum necessary to get about my day & do the things I need to do to minimize the control Lefties can exert on me. |

No one has listened to Alex Jones? If you have listened to coast to coast am you've heard of him. I like to call it the sky is falling radio. But he did give me some real info on the gardasil shots and plumb island moving to Kansas. |

NPR. Surprise, huh? Specifically Scott Simon on Saturday morning. I really miss Daniel Schorr, one of the last REAL journalists, and the weekly conversations with Red Barber. Current talk radio, left or right, just fills my brain with too much unneeded conflict. None of them care what I think, so I don't care much about what they think. Real honorable journalism is dying worldwide. There are many overlapping causes. To simplify things for me, I just blame it all on Rupert. Works for me. |

NPR, most enjoyable on weekends with the various shows they put on- Sunday afternoon with The Splendid Table is my fave... Leaving aside the talk/news thing, my alltime favorite station is "East Tennessee's Own" WDVX, 89.9 locally on my hi-fi, and they webcast at www.wdvx.com. All the best Americana, blues, true country, bluegrass, simply THE BEST music available. Listener supported public radio, no commercials, nothing but good tunes. |

I only listen to talk radio when in the car. During the summer months that's almost never. Winter months I do enjoy when I can catch Michael Medved. He's a reformed liberal that invites listeners to challenge his positions. On the full moon he does his conspiracy day where listeners get to share their favorite conspiracy theories. I know you can get his webcast from http://www.560wind.com/. I also used to like Dennis Prager. He's been off the air during my listening time for a couple of years, but I know he's still on somewhere. I've really come to like his philosophy that you can choose to either be happy, or unhappy. |

The only "talk" radio I listen to is a morning comedy show. Might not be what you're looking for as it's on the lighter, sillier side of things, but its good for laughs. Check out Preston & Steve on 93.3 wmmr out of Philadelphia. Good stuff |

I don't understand your reference to it either. My post was meant to reflect that while I do listen to radio other than music, it's not political talk. It's a God talk thing. I drive all day long, start my day with Glenn Beck then I move to Rush Limbaugh, after that a little bit of "The Blitz" with Joe Girvan on WRUF and then Sean Hannity of course. I end my work day with Neal Bortz, after that it's just me and the sweet sound of the VTwin Buell all the way home! |

+1 Coast to Coast.... If you want free airtime, that's the place to get it. That guy will just let people ramble forever and he AGREES WITH EVERYTHING! I found that when I was running my nightly route from Escondido to Yuma a few years back. Not much you can get on the radio crossing I-8, so I got an XM gizmo and hooked it up on the Pete. That's where I learned all about this:

Pan_head Dan no political stuff for me. I am reading Stephen King Under the Dome. Its about this little town that some how got sealed off from the rest of the world. The only radio station is a Christian radio station called Calvery Chapel. Just a coincidence, and I had to ask. If you knew what I was talking about on the first post it would have been pretty cool. |

Interesting how this (and other) threads diverge- from radio to books. We should all read more books. And listen to more good music. |
