Went to the Dallas (first) motorcycle show yesterday and maybe it's just me but it seems to be getting worse every year.... Harley Davidson, Star, Victory, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Ducati, and small custom exhibits.... Where was BMW, Triumph, Aprillia, and most important ERIK BUELL RACING!!!!!! I didnt expect to see an Erik Buell Racing booth but how cool would it have been to show the competition and other non-believers what was soon to be coming and out in front on the racetrack. Ducati, as always, has the nicest setup at the show but that new bike they just released looks like everything they dont stand for in my opinion. Its big, its bulky, styling isnt there, to me it still looks like a prototype. The only thing i see in that bike that you see in every Ducati is quality of build, and i guess design goes along with that but just not something I see coming from them. Harley Davidson did have an old XR750 that looked cool and thats the only Harley ive ever looked at and said out loud "That would be fun!" That's just my $.02 on the show this year and maybe different cities will have the brands that were absent at the Dallas show. Oh also watched Jason Britton and the other guy (forgot his name) do a stunt show. Pretty sweet "drifting" worked into the show since our floor was the slick sealed concrete. |

Was the new Honda CBR250R there? No Guzzis or Enfields either, I assume. Let's see, $15 for one day at the show, minus a discount code if you can find one, PLUS a $1 service fee. Screw that. I'll go to a dealer and look at the ones I want to, and only have to deal with a sales person (priceless!). |

Prof: Nice looking bike! There was a small exhibit of some old Guzzis and Triumphs. That reminded me, Ural was there which was cool! |

City: Very very little T&A. I thought that went with motorcycle shows like PB&J.... |

07xb12ss: Thanks for the photo! I'll likely be riding that little thumper next Spring, at least for a test spin. We'll see where Honda prices it: less than $5k I hope. |

I watched one of Jasons shows this Summer. Pretty good show and well thought out. I can say though..... he doesn't like Buell's. He actually snickers a bit. Thats ok. Everyone likes different things.

No BMW?? I thought for sure they'd be there with the K1600GT and K1600GTL. That's the only thing I'm interested in seeing this year. |
