Now if they'd just print up scads of money & give it to me! I'd spread the wealth with thought & care. Heck, I'd take suggestions from you guys. Buying the Buell name & restarting a new company ( maybe taking over H-D to be a division for nostalgia stuff & bandanas. ) might be good for the economy, etc.
I have ideas.
But I couldn't spend as much as fast as they do. Giving it to me would safely limit inflation, since I'm a cheaper sob than they are.
I'm not a big fan of the current QE because I don't think it's entirely necessary. But then I have a bit more economic patience than those who were spurred to make the decision. I think someone's angling to make notable gains by 2012.
Our economy's growing at around 2% right now, IIRC. I think that fact should be enough to calm any fears of hyperinflation and asset decay that are bothering some of you. The Fed can always tighten up the money supply again if things get too hot.
Let 600B out the front door.... and talk about tightening a belt ? There is a hole in the floor board where the driver sits! By the end of the month I will be totally divested of American cash, credit, or debt.

Inflation is here. This round of printing money is just going to make it worse. The problem isn't making money available. There's plenty of money sitting on the sidelines. Interest rates are very low. The problem is not knowing what the near term as well as long term costs of employment will be. There are two huge reasons for this. One is the threat of a huge tax increase at the end of this year. The other is trying to figure out the real costs of Obamacare.
Creating more inflation is just going to make things worse. BO claimed that the first round of stimulus was going to keep unemployment below 8%. He wasn't even close. His excuse is that they didn't understand how bad things really were. There's no excuse for this lack of understanding. He still doesn't understand basic economic principles. Right now he is simply extending the pain for all US citizens.
