They have a problem. The criminal tresspasser students wear & wave Mexican Flags. ( "illegal" is not PC, so I go with truth.... ) The local kids wear & wave flags and that causes trouble, according to school admin. Now that reasoning tells you that trying to stop rapists is a violation of their civil rights, and would tell women to stay home, locked up, for their safety. Not armed, of course, that would be interfering with the happiness of the home invasion rapists. And I have to disagree, Sifo. That would also happen in Neuvo York, The Imperial State, or the Peoples republic of Massachusetts. | ||

I didn't realize that our flag had any ethnic or racial insinuations to it. ???? yea ok MAYBE  but no, not at all  sorry is this what we want?  because this picture pisses me off and whether this is fuel to the fire or not but I am proudly Hispanic, but that is my heritage. but I am a proud American (Message edited by delta_one on November 12, 2010) | ||

Thanks Tom, can we kick out some of the "Americans" that keep selling our freedoms too? I fly 3 flags at my home    I would go with the Gadsden flag but it has become a Marine symbol and I don't want to misrepresent. my dog tags say US Air Force on them (after college I just may go back and get another set issued too) (don't take that the wrong way; I got's the love for all my brothers and sisters in arms current and former.) I wish DONT TREAD ON ME was more prominent, maybe I should fly one in place of my USAF flag for a while. because we are getting tread on, but we are also treading on ourselves and each other. | ||

What an odd story. Well, he can fly it now. Maybe all the publicity made it safer. Can't expect a kid to carry/defend the flag but all the support should put things in perspective. | ||

"To secure peices, to prepare for war!" What a crock... It's not like he's flying a white supremecist flag or a swasticka (sp?). It's the flag of the country he lives in. I feel that the Mexican flag promotes 'tension', but not 'racial tension' | ||

what is this country coming to when you cant fly an American flag without someone wondering if its safe or not, what the hell are people in that area going to do for a 4th of July parade, and with veterans day just past, if it were not for our veterans people wouldn't have a country to be able to bitch about such petty things! don't get me wrong, the United States of American is a melting pot founded by immigration, but last i checked nobody twisted anyone's arm to come here, if you don't like the way things are done, either adjust to it or leave! | ||

Melting Pot is the ideal. Once the Irish & Italians wouldn't spit on each other, now they are just guys with good food and beer. Melting pot good. The problem is "multiculturalism". Not becoming part of the culture you are surrounded by, but maintaining an identity separate from your adopted land. It's sure failure tactics. Live in enclaves, and force your neighbors to conform to your old world crap... we all lose. Pride in heritage is fine, and we welcome the diversity that gives us pad thai, salsa, pizza, and pretty good beer. Leave the hatred behind. The Irish don't kill the English, here. The school can't tell the Mexican kids to not show the flag, it's not "sensitive". So the school picks on the native kids, since the flag issue has become a cause for violence and trouble. They are wrong, but probably have little they can do to stop this. ( sending the criminal trespasser families back never seems to be an option.... ) | ||

I would love to see the American kids get out the Crayola chalk and en mass decorate the face of the school in the Red White Blue, stars and Bars. Call it ART. Hell get an endowmnent for it. Apply for a historic exemption to cleaning it. And force the admnistrator and his whimpy staff to see it every f'n day. | ||
