Anyone know what the average H-D/Buell service folks charge to replace a set of rocker box gaskets on an XB? Trying to decide if it's worth my time to do it myself. |

Appreciate the suggestion, but have already changed more Sportster/Buell rocker box gaskets than I want to think about. These days can afford to have it done by someone else if it's not some stupid $$$. Tired of working on/fixing stuff, want to ride...... |

Not so much the money but the WAIT to have it done. I'd ask them what the wait is for the job. I'm thinking it could be a couple weeks. At least all the gaskets WILL BE in stock. I think it's on the order of a $250-$300 job... but somebody closer to dealer/service-writer would know better. |

Or you could have it done by someone... to have it leaking a year later and then feel like a tool for spending the money.... DAMHIK... |

My $.02: Find a reputable independent wrench, and keep in mind the "holy trinity" of getting something done- Fast, Cheap, Good: everyone wants all 3, but you can only pick 2 in reality... |
