Heck, I'd love just to have the tank, tail and front wheel from the barracuda for my CR. Maybe after the 1190RS comes out we will be able to get our hands on some of those parts, or at least something similar. |

I also thought it had a KTM look about it but I liked this comment "I’d be sorely disappointed if that thing didn’t turn into a robot." With the popularity of transformers, that design might have been a hit with the younger crowd (which explains why HD would never build it). |

Looks almost identical in styling (other than the exhaust routing) to the new Benelli TNT 'anniversary' model released at the Milan show last week! http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/2011-benelli -tnt-1130-century-racer/ Both designs remind me a hastily repaired crash damaged sportsbikes I'm afraid |

I just looked up pics of the Z1000. The sketch is significantly more aggressive, and cleaner. That Z1000 is a "hot mess", as the girls around the office would say. Vs. That Benelli is a Decepticon for certain. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 12, 2010) |

The current Z1000 is a much better looking machine, and closer in appearance to the sketch. I think the smooth lines on the current CR lend themselves well to the overall design, and contrast nicely with the mechanical appearnce of the engine, et al. When everything gets all angular and sharp, it's hard to tell where the engine ends the bodywork begins. Although, looking at the sketch again, I think my only real complaint would be the headlight treatment, and maybe the gills. Let's face it - it's a Buell. I'd buy it anyways, lol. Oops, thought I had the most current pic of the Z1000. That one does look much improved. ~SM |
