Pretty good chutzpah. I've seen kids a bit younger steal 2nd after a walk. The catcher and even the coach is frozen by the novelty of the runner going past first. | ||

My son's HS team did a similar trick for a touchdown back in the nineties. The quarterback's call for hiking the ball was "Wait a minute" while looking at the official. The center stood up and just gave him the ball while the whole offensive line just stood up. The quarterback walked with the ball over to his coach at the sidelines, then walked about ten steps with him towards the goal line, then he just hauled ass for sixty yards to the goal line. No one even went after him! It was an awesome thing to see happen as it took about a minute and a half to develop. Friggen clever. But as said, a one time deal. | ||
