Wow iman, so because some parents cant make good decisions and choices then everyone has to suffer? That would be like outlawing alcohol because of a dui, or outlawing sportbikes because some of them run from the police. Think about what your agreeing with... |

So following this logic, eventually any food that your kids find tastes nice, but isn't nutritionally good for them, would be banned. Never get that one past the French. A friend of mine told me recently that his cousin, who's been living in New York for many years, will shortly be coming back to France. The main reason being that he can't take the food nazis anymore, what with the salt restrictions etc etc. It's a strange old world & no mistake. |

The good news is that citizens (with money or the means to make it) are fleeing California at a continuously increasing rate. Nothing like becoming the west coast Michigan. The great part is that we here in the sun belt and south will begin stripping away electoral college votes from CA, NY, MI, NJ, WI, and NV. |

At seven, you would be horrified at what I did know. I was cooking my own meals, riding miniscoots, working on the farm for gas money, shooting a Jr shotgun, and stealing vodka when ever I could. I made it to 8. You are building a generation without character. You reap what you sow; enjoy. |

"Then it went farther and now they have passed laws regarding smoking which go against the rights of the business owner to choose how they operate what they rightfully own." I heard a comment awhile back that did a great job of addressing the irony of "California Think". "So...California has practically made smoking a cigarette a capital offense but they want to make smoking dope legal?" G |

Iman, Some of us are older and remember how things used to be. The world you know has always had the nanny state firmly entrenched. Some of us actually owned and played with Yard Darts and M-80s. |

Communists want the government to make all the decisions for them. Pay for their medical problems and just let them coast through life. Their idea of a good life is one the government provides for them. The benevolent, all knowing government. Nine. Eleven. Illuminati. Tinfoil Hats. Tea Party. George Bush.

Laugh at that pic all you want, but this weekend in Seattle is our THIRD WMD 'Exercise' with a joint venture taskforce (FBI/FEMA/ATF/CDC/DHS and my old nat'l Guard unit for command and control) Exercise is if a biological 'dirty' bomb is dispursed. In this exercise, the states national guard is subplanted to direct federal control.... stop me if that gives you any pause at all. Having participated in two of these,a long course of MACDIS and being mobilized for the WTO; I can tell you that shiat comes to shove, it is weapons free, and protect your unit. Crowd control with live rounds, no civil criminal responsibilities/liabilities. Not paranoid? you simply arent paying attention. Your panic word is Resilience, you will see it more and more often. |

The out-migration from California is NOT a good thing, unfortunately. Many refugees from California take root in the mountain states. A great many of them seem to have no idea how California got to be so screwed up and bring their "philosophies" and their voting patterns with them. The numbers are so large that in time it will shift the political landscape there. |

They're typically really good people; but they seem to have a hard time leaving the bad parts of rust belt and northeast philosophy behind. |

We get all the good "half-backs" in Tennessee. Most from California wouldn't dream of moving to the south. (We only let a few of the good ones in.) |

Most from California wouldn't dream of moving to the south. I'm loving it in Georgia, believe that. I find I'm even more conservative than most people I meet here. (We only let a few of the good ones in.) How do you explain me then? |
