I have good warm gear but gloves I lack. I plan to outfit both bikes with heated grips but right now I don't have them and may do the KLR first. After all if salt gets it I can get another but I can't get another new XB12. I want a good glove BUT can't spend a lot on them if I buy the heated grips. I may not be able to ride all winter, salt on the road bike in the garage! Price say under $100.00 or lower. What ya got? |

www.britishmotorcyclegear.com I have only ridden down to the 50s in them so far. Texas winter hasn't arrived yet. $80 - I actually bought both gloves they offer. Seem pretty well made. |

Lee Parks PCI work well without, but even better with heated grips. http://www.leeparksdesign.com/eshopprod_cat_530-64 064_product_148850.DeerSports_PCi_Black.htm Plus, they are good, tough, gauntleted leather riding gloves made in USA. |

Heated. Battery, electric, new or used. Pick your manufacturer ( I have Gerbings). After one ride in COLD weather you will wonder why you waited so long. |

I prefer heated gloves...I have warm-n-safe brand...but they are over $100. I would suggest that you look at the Olympia Gloves line. They have many styles, are well made, and all lines are under $100. Unless you are in the middle of nowhere there is probably a dealer close...I like to try on gloves before deciding on a pair. I have Olympia's "Cold Throttle" model for cold weather. They are very toasty...I even use them for snowboarding! Link: http://shop.olympiagloves.com/MOTORCYCLE-GLOVES_c2 .htm |

I'll bet heated gloves are great. However, the only thing about heated gloves that I don't like is that you have to have them with you to use them. That is, if it gets cold out on a ride and want to warm your hands, the grip heaters are there. If you didn't think to bring your heated gloves, you are SOL. How many times have you stayed out a little too long, and the temp dropped to where you could use some heat? Or if you get caught in the rain? |
