rode with the patriot guard today for a local man killed in afghanistan. Over 500 riders held flags in his honor. It was my first time for this. It was an honor to have attended |

I've done the PGR flag line a number of times. Each one gets harder. I thought the first one a couple of years ago would be the worst. It was -10 with a 20MPH wind. None of the PGR left the flagline. The one earlier this fall was tougher. It was a transfer at a private airport hanger. Our fallen soldier was being transferred to a smaller plane for the last leg of his journey to his small MN home town. As his family filed by thanking each of us there were NO dry eyes. As we all left, the most common goodbye was "I hope I never see you again"...... |
