Couldn't resist getting this bow.Twenty seven years old and neart brandy new.108 pounds peak,65 pounds draw.I thought I was in shape with all the fire wood I have been shagging recently, but I have to "focus" just to draw the thing.Dealers hated them....8 cables,9 counting the string......and a bitch to work on.More of a collector piece than a shooter. Makes my ex Whitetail hunter a kiddie toy.

Hey Zip, Can you take a closer pic of your oil tank drain? I have the same one. Did you coat the alxes or are they Ti? Sorry for the threadjack. (Message edited by skntpig on October 30, 2010) |

I don't really care for the drain. It's too short or something......like a pooched out belly buttion. I put the red cover over it and that sorta helped. Really needs just a cup plug clamped on the nipple.

The axles are stock. They were hit with corrosion from sitting in a unheated garage. I simply stuck them to a polishing wheel and they came back to life. The rear axle looked just as bad as the front axle in the last picture. BTW,the rear disc is warped. New pads and rotor from American Sport Bike to go on it this Winter.

Yeah Rex,couldn't resist a killer deal on them. They are actually a pound or so lighter than the originals. The originals will shine like new when I am done with them.......but what bike to put them on........X1 or Suzie Q??? |

And if Custer had a mini gun and enough ammo....... Actually, Custer did have a machine gun and enough ammo. He was so naive/overconfident, he just sent it on ahead with the other wagons. Back to your regular program. |

The 7th had 4 attached HOTCHKISS multibarrel hand crank rapid fire guns, they are what created the havoc at the massacre at Wounded Knee. The Hotchkiss is magazine fed, the Gatlin of the period was a gravity load hoper that was prone to jam during rough terrain transport, which is why the calvary rejected it; the navy on the other hand loved the weapon. Gatling later went to belt; and cleaned up so to speak. now back to your Buell and Bow show |
