I'll be splitting my time between NYC and Pasco County, Florida so I figure I might as well bring the Uly down to Florida for the winter.

There are a lot more indy shops in Florida than there are in NYC (though many seem to be "chopper" shops).

I'm looking for a recommendation for a competent and reasonable shop to have tires mounted. I'm a bit north of Gulf Coast Harley, if that helps.

TIA.

I'm south of you in Palm Harbor. Cheapest place I found to mount tires that I provided is further south in Pinellas Park (Cycle Gear). I did get a good deal on tires w/ mounting at R & B Motorcycles in Holiday on US 19 just south of the Home Depot.

Tipsy, Jeff at High Performance Cycles in Lake City is very honest and does excellent work. I use him for all my tires and for repairs on my other bikes (I work on the Uly). If you pull the wheel he will mount and balance for 20.00, can't remember what he charges to remove the wheel and all because it's been so long since I've had him do it.

Blasterd, thanks for the tip. $20 is a steal but Lake City is a bit far. I'm in New Port Richey.

I'll be sure to let you know when I'm passing through. I actually looked at a home in the fly-in community in Lake City but decided on fishing in the Gulf instead : )

I think I remember that, didn't you email or call me a couple of years ago when you were looking? Was it Cannon Creek Airpark?
