I agree 200% brinnutz when I first came in in 2001 til now I have seen a lot of changes that just makes me shake my head in disgust. ponder on this a while, the army calls its soldiers warriors yet if you look at a warrior in history they were usually quite the opposite of sinsative and caring of peoples fillings and blah blah blah. I joined the army because I when you think of soldiers and marines (not so much the other 2 no offence) you think of rough and tough trained killers and yet in this day and age we are too busy training on how not to be that way. To add to all that now they want the exact opposite of that picture of a soldier in the army but to what cost? I don't know about you but I don't think we are going to win many wars if fairy boy is afraid to get dirty or drops his weapon and screams like a girl because it made a loud noise. Why cant women and gays fight. They can be just as effective as societies "normal" man. Google Alexander the Great or the Amazons for info if you doubt this. Or the countless women who dressed as men to fight in the Civil War. Also for all the Navy knockers if it weren't for them more of the Army and Marines would have died in almost EVERY war in history. It also took quite a git of guts to be on a boat in the last World War. I would also wager a good portion of the Seals would more than hold their own in combat against any other branch. | ||

We have multiple unisex bathrooms here at my job, in addition to the standard male or female ones. Firebolt020283, so if someone is gay, that means they cannot be tough or willing to do hard work and get dirty? I gather from your posts on this thread, it is apparent you don't have much if any first hand real world experience with homosexuals. Just like not all straight men are super tough macho men (I know I'm not), not all gays are pansies. | ||

like I said I am not knocking navy or airforce I have all of the respect in the world for them and have been deplyed with them what I ment is the army and the marines are known for being cold killers. navy and airforce by comparison seem more civalized in matter of speaking more of a death from above or from the water type of deal. | ||

I am not sure on what the other branches think of the army but I do know the army stereotypes for the other branches...(all in good fun I will list them) the airforce are the fat nerds the marines are the dumb jarheads and the navy is gay or the butt pirates I am sure the other branches have choice words for us too, but in reality most of us really do respect one another and actually many times work well together. | ||

I am by no means in the manliest of jobs (as you can tell since I am at work in front of a computer) in the army by the way but in the end we still have to take that tuff stuff from time to time. I also do not care were some one sticks thier sexual organs but my concerns as I have stated above are how I do fell about the implications of this in the military. I already don't like showering in public showers to begin with now I will have to worry about if I am turning some one on because I am washing my self, and that the army is becoming to soft and this to me ticks it just another notch higher. | ||
