Tell him he's just purchased some motorcycles, so he'd better get his chequebook out. The alternative being the law and/or a hospital food diet for the immediate future.
Pwnzor - I for one, could use such a class - thank you for your most gracious offer
Did the guy bail? - it sure looked like he was thinking about it. I think the term 'bitch slap' comes to mind for starters (especially if he did indeed bail).
He didn't bail. He acknowledged his mistake and was really shook up. He didn't know if there were any people hurt and he rolled forward in a pannic. The snake above the Rock store is a nasty road that will bite. It's 3.5 miles of fun but with the guard rails on the outsides of all the turns, anything slide faster than 45 mph will kill a biker. We also get the drifters sliding out all over the place.
Seems like anyone wanting to stop on the parking areas might want to consider where the cars might end up when this happens. That would certainly piss me off, only good part is they have video that the cycles were parked and not involved until the guy failed to stay on his side of the road.
**** happens life goes on no blood no broken bones or death new bike sounds like a win to me : D
what if you have way more money into your bike than the bike is worth on paper?? New bike? Bikes that are not made anymore? I would have to be held down because i would beat his face in with my favorite helmet!
Bikes that arent made anymore.... like the Buell ?
Yep. Change your insurance coverage to a named and assessed value and go with a limited lines liability coverage. I am running a policy for the replacement cost of 15K. Because I cant just go by a new Buell if something happens to my CityX. But to replace the vehicle, with a similarily capable, and equipped ride would lead me to the 15K range quickly. use a comparable BMW, Triumph, or Ktm as a comparison, easy peasy done.
check with your agents. that 'replacement' cost you thought you had in your policy, probably aint.
