ONE PERSON in my town of 4000 complained to the state about our 80yr school mascot name: "THE INDIANS" now we must change the name or funds will be with-held and fines levied.The mascot was treated in a honourable way as one with strength and courage to emulate....THAT is P.C. gone wrong! The cost to the taxpayers to change the name is staggering when you consider all the uniforms and logos that will have to be changed or removed.B.T W. the kid doing the complaining wears a American flag upside-down on the back of his jacket and has a swastika on his arm he carved with a knife.In a newspaper interview he compared his struggle to that of Martin Luther king!
Maybe attack it the other way, Is the tribe local ? Get them to endorse the mascot and a tribute to their heritage, ...
or in a free press world, out him. Look at the out rage over the local treatment of that neighbor that was attacking a terminal ill 7 yo girl.
The national temperature against PC is beginning to boil.
it is total BS, when I went to school one of my elementary schools (MIDWAY) the mascot was a CB. A angry Wasp with a Sailor hat, bulging bicepts, an anchor tattoo and Tommy SubMachine gun. The recently changed it to a Shark with a smile because some g-d parent group was offended at the military reference of the mascot; never mind that the school was dedicated to the local survivors of the Batttle of Midway. It is one of my most impressionable memories. the honor guard at the dedication was very impressive.
Oh I am offended, thousands of my tribes men did not die on the trail of tears to be at the affront of this diatribe. I think it is high time we take it back, one scalp at a time.

Great grandmother was tribal Choctaw, I however an not 'indian enough'.... go try tell a 4th generation 'minority' that they aint black enough. their eeoc is so full o double speak shiate.
I not against that because it is probably PC defamatory, I am against it because it is bad music. So what do I do?... I dont buy Tim McGraw Cds, go to his concerts, nor wear his T'shirts. Defunded. Its called a market economy. Adam Smith seems to work well enough when government and political action agenda groups stay the hell out of its way.
