Last night the Kid, Lady, and I went to her cousin's house for a cookout. He had a little electric pocket rocket sitting on the side of his driveway on the kickstand. Little Z walks up to it (it happens to be blue like his dad's) and hops on it properly from the correct side of the bike; hanging on to the handlebars and all. Next he put his feet on the pegs. At this point we are all standing around laughing, and getting a real kick out of this. Last thing he does is crouch down and make b-b-b-b-b-b-b noises with his lips. He even went through a couple gears making the noises. At this point I'm practically rolling on the ground. Truly a priceless moment. Too bad it was dark, and I didn't have a better camera!

Yea, something is hard wired into boys, causing us to like all things mechanical. My 3 year old nephew is into trains big time... has been for about a year. I bought him one of these last year.
When he rides it he makes the simulated motor noise. Also likes the speed of riding it down hill too. |

Its not Just Boys, my 2 year old daughter loves motorcycles, Cars, Trains and all that sort of stuff, she even knows what to do to make the bike louder while its running! she has more hotwheels and matchbox than my neighbors son!

start em young, before the safety nazis corrupt their minds. Ride! Early and often My nephew and I built one of the Vtwin clear models when he was six. Got it all fired off and running, when he was 7 he started to tell me all the reasons the model was WRONG. Smart kid, another motor head on the way. |

I had one of those little bikes in black. It had a 3 speed and an auto clutch. It was the funnest thing ever when you were a kid. |

My first "ride" had a lawnmower engine and solid tires. Good times... |
