I just posted it up on the KR site http://kiwiridermagazine.blogspot.com/2010/10/apri lia-dorsoduro-1200.html So far that is 'me'. Passenger comfort might be the problem though - 'me' is an us. hzzzzzz He said an us. |

Although, the 11,700 Euro ($16,300) price tag is a little steep. |

Yeah, the Ducati Hypermotard and the KTM 990 SMR are both less expensive. But more horsepower, traction control and 2-channel ABS might be worth the price of admission. |

I'm riding a Shiver 750 ABS currently. Nice, quite comfy - but still a bit small for me, everything else it does really well. |

Since I'm a bit of a grammar nazi: "The twin-cylinder with record-braking performance..." Shouldn't it be breaking? As I did not see a pseudo reference to braking performance in the same paragraph. Just helpin' out Dave. |

Yet another Aprilia model that will collect dust in the showrooms. They need to lower their prices by 30% to be serious about US sales. |

Well spotted - just copied and pasted from the Piaggio press site - I forget that sometimes the translations are not perfect. The Moto Guzzi ones sometimes have really abstract contexts too - like there's no literal translation for 'this bike goes real good'. It has to be compared to mountains and sh*t :-P (Message edited by danger_dave on October 12, 2010) |

Looks like a nice piece of kit, in fact I'd go as far as to say it's joined the very few bikes on my "interested" list. Interesting that it's got an "all new" motor, but I suppose since HD/Buell aren't buying them anymore, Rotax have to flog 'em off somewhere. |
