so as i'm sitting here letting my hands thaw out from my cold ride to school today i've decided warmer gloves are a necessity! so with that being said whats a good pair of warm gloves that will not limit my finger movement to much or be uncomfortable i dont have the money for electric gear, or heated grips |

I just picked up a pair of Joe Rocket Nitrogen gloves on Friday. Wore them on a long ride on Sunday and to work this morning and they were nice and toasty, supposed to be waterproof too. Out of all the cold weather gloves I tried on, they limited movement the least. The only thing I didn't like about them is that you have to be careful about how you take them off or the lining can get pulled out as it's not stitched to the glove to maintain the waterproofing. Not a deal breaker, just have to think about how you're taking them off. $69 -J5 |

I love my unlined Lee Parks gloves and am thinking of these for the colder days: http://www.leeparksdesign.com/eshopprod_cat_530-36 37_product_341068.DeerTours_PCi_Black.htm A bit $$, but I have been wearing the same pair for three years and hate all of my other gloves now as they feel much too bulky. Wish the LP gloves had a bit more in the protection ability though. |

It took a solid two hours of bartime to warm my hands after riding up to Wrightwood one September night. I will never own another motocycle that doesn't have heated hand grips. The American Sport Bike heated hand grip kit is installed on my `06 ULY and it works great. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAtBxiWzW38 Revzilla has some nice videos, and I have $20 in credits with them. I'm still not sure where I sit with heated grips, never had them so I don't know if I would want them or just insulated gloves. |

I don't ride in the rain if I can help it, especially not when it is cold enough to freeze! The falling apart does have me a little concerned though. |

heated grips don't do much for the fingertips but i'm gonna try the silk glove liners in a day or two when i take a ride over to pittsburgh from columbus. should get some extenders also for the guards on the xt. that might help. |

i use some snow-gloves if it gets piss-cold out. sux when they get wet, but work great as long as the insulation is dry. camp dry would help alot ... |

For the $56 it cost me I decided to go with the Scarab gloves. I also suggested that they put a Buell in the background for one of their videos, they said they would work on it. Anybody local to Revzilla? If so drop them a line and volunteer you machine for a video. |

I use iron clad winter tundra gloves. Have worked pretty well down to 40' got them for $35.00 on ebay. They are gortex btw. I have wanted to try the winter scarab's though. |

For the $56 it cost me I decided to go with the Scarab gloves. Greg, good luck with them. I also don't prefer to ride in the rain, but when I do and it's cold out, it doesn't matter how warm the glove is if it soaks through. Depending on your climate the build quality might not be a problem. Although mine are falling apart, they're on their third winter season and they're pretty much all I wear from about this time of year until mid-April, so I use them quite a bit. I'd guess they'll get through this winter and some of next before they self-destruct. Let me know how the fit is - when I got mine I found the knuckle guard was positioned too far back and was really uncomfortable until I wore them a bit and reall broke them in. |

My Adrenaline gloves have one of the plastic bits in a very uncomfortable spot on only one finger. It is slowly stretching into place. Build quality on them is decent so I hope the same can be said for the Scarab gloves. I only intend to go down to about 40 F so this should be OK for me and probably won't see a lot of use just because of the way the weather is here. It tends to go fairly quickly from 40 in the morning to 30 in the morning and I wont be riding during the 30. One of the biggest problems is that I have a hard time keeping the blood flowing through my throttle hand because it is always grabbing in some fashion or another. So I end up alternating which fingers relax sitting up on the break which helps a bit. |

I have the Scarab Winter and the Injector gloves. Both fit well and i can't comment on how long they last. I only used the Scarab Winter for 1 season so far. And I haven't be able to use the Injector that much bc i rebuilt my motor this summer and was deployed. |

for 40 bucks just get these http://www.pollyheaters.com/ph400.htm they could melt your hands on high lol(well the snowmobile sets anyway). i think ft_bstrd used them to on his uly. ive only had them on some snowmobiles. been to lazy to get them on my bikes. i can never decide which bike to set up for winter! and doing all of them would cost to damn much! |

I had the pollyheaters on my last bike and they were the BEST investment I made!!! Easy to install, Hi/Lo settings and would cook your fingers in no time! I would have ordered them again for by Buell but it came with heaters |

The Scarab gloves are not going to be very warm, I doubt the claim of 100 gram Thinsulate because nothing is thick enough to support that claim. They are warmer than my Adrenaline gloves, but I am starting to doubt their use at 40 to 50 F. |

newenough.com closeout > gloves Riding at freezing, I wear regular street gloves and use a mechanics glove as a liner. Raining and freezing, what? I hesitate to go out in a car. Welcome to Canada. |

Delta, if it isn't too late I don't know if I would recommend them for anything colder than about 50 to maybe 45 F. A little over 50 and I've been pretty happy with the summer Adrenaline gloves. I just don't find much insulation in the Scarab gloves to make me think they are going to do very much to keep my hands warm. The fit and finish is decent so if you just need a pair of decent mild weather gloves (below 70F) these would be good, just that I doubt the 40 degree performance which is the normal for the morning commute (for me) right now. And I probably won't get to test them this coming week because it looks like rain almost every day. If I were to do it again (and I still might send these back) I would probably choose from the middle group in the Revzilla video. |
