Yeah, that's what you'd say if I posted a full picture. Picked up a bite on the side of my knee,Saturday afternoon. Burning pain for a few hours. This is 2.5 days later and it's not tender any more............but WHAT THE HELL BIT ME?

I was in the back yard, near the corn field. What ever it was,it crawled up my pant leg to get there. Never felt a thing,it was just suddenly there. It seems to be that all the hair follicles are reddened. About the size of a fifty cent piece. |

Spider bite, looks like. Did it feel ok to rub it one direction and not the other? |

I don't recall thank, but getting it wet made it's presence. No other bites or marks, just a single incident. |

Had a friend with a bite like that. Next day...Dead. First dibs on your motorcycle(s)! ETA: Were your pant legs wet? I'd venture to guess it's from a plant. I've taken many early morning walks to my fishing hole and I've found that when my pants get wet, nettles sting right though the wet cloth. (Message edited by phatkidwit1eye on September 29, 2010) |

I am not sure what that bite is, it looks like hives. I got bit by a brown recluse spider about a month and a half ago. Still not well. |

Damn I'm glad I live somewhere where there's very few dangerous things like that. |

Not spiders - They got chiggers or "redbugs" where you live? They bite, move, bite, move - you don't feel the first one until they've moved on. Itches like crazy. Your wide shot looks like you got redbug bites. Calamine is good. Old dude told me to use sulfur around the cuffs of shirt, pants, and along belt line to keep them out of your britches. Where I grew up, these things were everywhere - the sulfur trick works, BTW. |

Nothing new.Still a single incident. Still looks the same other than dry/rough with no irritation. I'm leaning towards a spider of some sort. I was weed burning box elder bugs on my rock landscape and it's full of spiders too. Fast spiders.......they are very quick to run and hide. Normally I'm not affected by bites. Mosquito bites don't even welt up. |
