A while back, (I cannot find anything in the archives or search), there was some posts on a small e-bay video camera that some have had pretty good success with. I mean like a $10.00 camera and some shipping costs. Does anybody remember that post or have a link to it. Thanks much, Bob |

I have one of the cameras... what kind of information are you looking for? Interesting toy for sure, and worth it for the $$, but just a toy for sure... |

I just got mine on ebay, they are all over the place, and generally cheaper. Took a long time to get here though (shipped direct from Hong Kong). The battery is only good for about 45 minutes of video before it needs to be recharged, which I think is under 4 gigs of memory. So you don't need any more memory then that. Best place to mount I found so far is inside my helmet (behind the shield). Though I stopped doing it as I was just picturing it crushing an orbit of an eye in an accident (even though I doubt it would). It's an amusing toy. The big limitation on the bike is that the lens is not wide angle enough, and everything on a bike is really vibraty. Inside or on the helmet helps, but I spend so much time doing headchecks that the video is almost unwatchable. It made me realize that I ride like a squirrell running across a field full of owls... My head is like a bauble doll. A good thing for getting home alive, but it makes for some UGLY video... |

I think the Chinese are making a gyro stabilized helmet top suction gimbal mount. Problem is the mount is $4,000 and requires you to drive 2 - 3/8 x 2" lag screws into tour medulla oblongata. Picture quality is reported to be excellent and the drooling eventually goes away. |

Well, I would get one, but I am sure I'd get screwed. (Sorry. Court started it.) |
