Is it me, or out of all of the watersports, wakeboarding hurts the worst when taking a spill. That thing takes good vids!

Will that looks fantastic!!! did you edit it on the phone or did you bring it in to FCP? also how did you get the shots to look so steady?

I edited on FCP, the shots were not effected for camera shake I just held the phone as best i could. I tried pulling some footage from it in to After Effects and stabilizing some shots that were not as clean but didn't have a lot of luck tracking the footage. Its pretty amazing that the phone shoots as well as it does.

That is much better than my iPhone 3G can do. Here is a short video from it. I need to upgrade! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQzI0Y9-Hw4

Yup, the hd video camera is one of the most impressive upgrades from my old 3G. Videoninja, Have you messed around with the HDR photo camera feature that came on the new software update? It's pretty nice too.

What is FCP?

FCP = Apple's Final Cut Pro, A nonlinear software based video editor exclusively running on Macs.

Ah - got it - I have Final Cut 'Express'. I see that you can now get imovie for the devices and edit on the phone.

FWIW 'Express' is a dog. My guess is slimming it down made a lot of it unreliable. I mostly just use the free imovie app and it works great for me.

imovie on the phone is pretty gimmicky right now not a lot of options with it. I have played with the HDR feature its actually pretty impressive (Message edited by videoninja on September 22, 2010)

I have imovie on my jailbroken 3gs and I played around with it a bit this weekend and made this video for my wife. it is basically just a slide show with music of my r&r from Afghanistan last october but being as it was my first time playing with any video editing software at all I thought it was cool.

it is very cool if you haven't used any other editing software. But i'm not a fan of iMovie on my mac either just biased i guess

The imovie works OK, does all I need aiming at 480p on you tube. It has a dorky interface indeed and peeling off sound is a pita. Can be done - but ergggh. Express was the right choice for my needs, but parts of it - like adjusting transition times - just don't work on any of my machines or OS.
