keep the Florida jokes coming....We'll be sure to ask how many miles you didn't ride due to snow and send you pictures of sunny beaches and bikini clad women in December |

0 miles for me last winter. I rode my Blast in several snow storms. There is a picture of it stuck in a snowbank floating around on here. Best part is, insurance is free in the winter, tires wear slower, and there aren't any straight pipe asshats going down the road full throttle at 3am. I love winter |

We ride year round. If it does snow here (it has before) it'll be gone the next day. Beaches and bikini clad women. Honestly, beaches don't do it for me, and I haven't stayed married for 20 years by messing with bikini clad women. I'll keep the mountains thank you very much Florida is a nice place, but I wouldn't want to live there. |

Same here. The most I have seen it last was about three days. Usually gone by noon when the sun heats up the asphalt. I am with you Glitch, I will keep the mountains.. There are no mountains below 10K feet |

I'm not knocking mountains...a great place for me to visit and wear my Vanson leathers for sure, but the whole grip heater, thermal wear, how to keep warm deal just isn't my cup of tea. born in Jersey, stationed in Misery, I've had my seasons and snow. but next time you come to Florida try getting off the beaten path, we have curves, and hills (although we can't compare to some of you guys in all honesty)...the difference between a traveler and a tourist is a tourist comes to see what they came to see and a traveler sees what he stumbles upon and sees. I'll be sure to chime in with pictures when the "hows the weather" and "can't ride too much snow" posts start showing up. to those who responded most of you have been here as long or longer than I have and you truly are BadWeatherBikers, but there are many who have their bikes on tenders during certain times of the year and I'm keeping my battery charged via the charging system. as far as bikini clad and beaches...if everyone had it like we do, there wouldn't be a need for the Backfire board's "Ladies on bikes" to be censored as much as it has and I'm not sure so many would've posted pictures.....just saying |

Oh and last I checked Florida was not the only supposed "flat land" state, but the weather is more or less the same all year long and whether I'm on the east coast or west coast of the state I can be near the water which makes our boats happy. the Buell's can't have all the fun. |

I like Florida. I live in the North of the State. Plenty of curves around here if you are prepared to look for them. I like the weather & I like the beaches. Suches (and all those great Georgia curves) are only 431 miles from where I live. I was looking forward to attending Buelltoberfest this year, then I managed to herniate a disc in my lower back. I'm now looking forward to no bike riding and possibly surgery in the near future. I hope to be at Buelltoberfest 2011. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy the Florida lifestyle. |

That is why I love Colorado. All seasons, all year. No humidity, no rust and no Snow Birds. And, of course mountain roads. What is a battery tender? Of course having lived in Florida and being stationed there three times there are a lot of diverse areas. I will take Colorado. |

Florida... Hot and Humid for 9 months and luke warm for 3. Can you guess which part I like the most? Hint: I'll not be spending my retirement life in Florida. |

There are some great roads here in Florida, just got to know where to look. I have lived here (North FL) most of my life except 1 year in GA and 2 in NY, I prefer it here anyday because of all the outdoor activities mostly year round. |

I'm not necessarily touchy usually. it just always appears that Florida becomes the butt of jokes when it comes to Buell's. I love where I live just as I'm sure all of you do, but the snide Florida jokes leads me to believe that either you are boasting and trying to make us "Floridians" jealous or are jealous yourselves....its like being on the 1125 section. why cant we all just get along would you quit picking on us if we moved to a more Buell appropriate state (whatever/wherever that may be) or would it be better if we just sold our Buells to those of you who feel like they live in a "better place" (neither of which I would do) I think I'll quit my whining now, I've been picked on for owning a Buell since 05 and picked on for purchasing a second one...I just never thought it would be from people I believed to be like minded and for the place I reside...enjoy what you do and I'll enjoy what I do now back to the Geoff May sportbike store opening |

\quote}I've been picked on for owning a Buell since 05 and picked on for purchasing a second one} Ha, do not let that get to you. I fell in love with Buell with the purchase of my 97 S1 and have owned ten of them since then. The only reason people pick on Buell riders is due to lack of understanding, arrogance or just plan stupidity... Like I said Fl has a lot to offer. If I pissed you off any any way I apologize. not pissed just confused by some of the "hate" towards my state I hate to say but the Harley phrase comes to mind with me having to justify my choice of residence..."If I have to explain, you just wouldn't understand" |
