All I know is...I'm going to see Rush in Northern Virginia on Saturday night.
Neil Peart rides his tours, *behind* the bus. I wanna say on a Bimmer GS or GSA.
The venue in NoVa has "rockstar" parking - right AT the gate - for motorcycles.
What if Neil came out before the show (I've heard rumors he does sometimes)? Wonder if there's a complete 1190RS in existence anywhere and if there is, would he be interested in taking a peek at it?

>>>"Red Barchetta" redone as "Red Barracuda"???
Uncle Erik has a country place, no one knows about. He says it used to be a farm before the motor company screwed it up. On Sundays I elude the eyes and hop the turbo'ed Bolt...

As much as I enjoy my Norge, that Sport does nothing for me. It's all Show and no Go. If Guzzi had seen fit to give it a few more horsepower, my opinion might be different, but it's only lipstick on a pig,as far as I'm concerned. The original V7 Sport made more horsepower, and that was built back in the early '70s. Technology has moved on in the past 38 years. My '73 Sport was as reliable as an anvil; ten more horsepower should easily be available without sacrificing reliability. I admit that I'm biased, though. Here's the real thing on a track taken in 1976

Looks like you'd pick up a few horsies just by dropping those awful stock pipes... peashooters do a motor no favors.
From MG's website: "This bike has no need to race against the clock, it was built to enjoy the ride."
It's a sexy bike, no doubt... but to name a bike "Cafe Classic" and then, on the same page, make a statement like the one above... it just seems contradictory.
I'm betting it wouldn't be hard to squeeze 75 HP out of that mill.

I am so lost on this topic now... what does these weird bikes i have never heard of have to do with the new E.B.R. 1190RS?
Not a thing. It's called thread drift. Since the Two seconds of video in the teaser has been dissected, analyzed, speculated upon, and fantasized over to death, things move on to other areas. At least nobody has started badmouthing Obamalamadingdong, unions or any other political garbage. There is a silver lining to the Dark Cloud.

Back on topic, what is Erik Buell Racing going to do for dealerships and service? From a commonality pov, since there are still Buell Techs with 1125R knowledge at some of the HD dealerships, that makes some sense. But from a marketing pov, haven't we already had that stick in the eye?

Ah...Les. Good stuff...even if he does suck LOL.
Got me looking around, though. They do a version of Devil Went Down, which is OK...but I always liked the Levellers version (awesome Irish group I met when I was in college - but don't ever try to match 'em pint for pint!).

Back on topic, what is Erik Buell Racing going to do for dealerships and service? Block 1 of the 1190RS is only going to amount to 100 or so bikes. How many dealers do you think we need? These bikes are for the faithful they will know where to get them.
