I just looked up a similar type house in Irvine CA, going for $732,000 and it's smaller by several hundred square feet. The taxes and insurance are built into the $900 monthly payment on this. The actual house payment is only around $645. Plenty of houses available here in the 150-160k price range... Come on down! | ||

The pool and tennis courts are part of the deal, yes. It's all covered in the HOA fees which are about $50 a month. The great thing is, you're not allowed to park on the street, so when I have guests over I can use that parking lot for overflow... The building right there by the pool and courts is a big open air patio with ceiling fans and barbeques... also part of the deal. If I want to have more than 4 guests then I have to reserve the space, but that shouldn't be a problem. When I go down there next time I'll be taking lots of pictures. Tomorrow we sort out the financing and cough up the first $1000 to get things moving. Stay tuned! | ||

After we get settled, there is an Australian Shepherd in the game plan. Can't decide if I want a standard or a blue merle. Gretchen just went and drove by the house, so here's a preview from the outside. She said they already took the lockbox off the front door.  Yes, a lot of bikes would fit in the driveway but its on a bit of an incline. There is a huge garage, so plenty of room in there. A housewarming is definitely in the mix. I'm thinking January, get the holidays out of the way first and give us time to be fully settled in. I still have to get all my stuff from California. | ||
