This thread is worthless without.... PRICES!! I have to know how depressed I need to be about not being able to afford one right now and how long it's going to take me to save up the money to buy one. |

This is so cool. It is likely not the kind of bike I would be interested in personally. I'm not a racer. But I don't care. It seems like just the other day that Buell was closed and all the stuff in the factory sold off. Yet in that short amount of time they have not only managed to put out some very cool race bikes, it turns out they have a street bike in the works. I can't imagine how much work it takes to create a street legal bike. Just the DOT certifications must be a daunting amount of work, not to mention actually designing the bike, and getting subcontractors lined up. I find this truly inspiring. |

I can't wait to get the whole scoop. It would be nice to find that Erik jumped in bed with BRP to have access to dealers and service. |

Just purchased two shirts, and am looking forward to getting more details about the next motorcycle I will own. This is the best news I've heard in, umm... just about a year. Outstanding! |

The question was posed to him regarding whether a 2011 bike would be in his future at the Newcombs Ranch gig a few weeks back. His response was it depends on investors. If he does it on his own or with limited investors, it means a more expensive "cottage industry" bike like the old days. More money, or investors means higher production and less money for the bike. Best of luck to Erik and all involved. But then luck is where preparation meets opportunity! |

Just bought the Hoodie, hope he considers that and adds $40 bucks to the trade in on my 1125R. Anxious to hear about the dealer network or if I'll have to take it to Wisconsin to trade and pick up the new one??? Great news considering where we were 11 months ago... I think we all had faith we hadn't seen the last of Erik's production bikes you can't keep a guy like that down for long. Cheers, ML |

Lots of talk about trade-in. I have to suspect that there will be little or no trade-in capability, at least at first. A start-up operation is not likely to have or want the overhead associated with that sort of thing. Those of you out there thinking trade might want to figure out what a "fair" trade price would be and get prepared to sell privately. |

Yeah, give me all the ones y'all don't want anymore, and I'll ride em for ya. I think i'll swim upstream on this one, and see if I can find a way to KEEP the Buell I have, sell off sports collections to get a CR, AND get the new one. Maybe throw a tuber in the mix too! |

Very nice. Could the anniversary of Last Ride turn into a First Ride?? This is great news. I know Erik and the Elves have been busting their humps for the last year, and they have the racing success to show for it. Now this? Amazing. |

How long before one hits the streets? Midsummer 2011? Erik Buell Racing as the sole dealer.....buy it there only? I think this is going to be an elite type of thing(like the race bikes) for a while. Everyday Joe won't go for it till there is a network............but who knows, maybe there is a system being set up right now with iron clad secrecy till it is all ready to"go". |

Dealer networks are evil. I would rather have the cargo truck drop the bike off at my door and do my own warranty repairs or ship it back. |

Sell bikes and parts direct, and have authorized repair centers for warranty repairs or anything you don't wanna do yourself. There are lots of independent shops that would love that action without the need of being a full blown dealership. |
