This is a weird one. I found 2 sets of tires. OEM tires, correct size and model, brand new, for my one-of-fifteen-produced 1989 Shelby CSX-VNT. They are in IL. I am in MD. Guy is gonna figure shipping on Tuesday, but I thought "hey, there's a long shot that someone on badweb might be out that way, and headed this way...eventually". Y'know, like the long shot of finding 2 full sets of NOS tires for a 21 year old car. If anyone out there is headed this way, drop me a note. I'm in no rush, the car hasn't actually seen daylight in about seven years, so a week or three won't hurt one way or another. But, I figured I'd ask...just in case. |

If no one is making that trip, it may be cheaper to band them to a skid and have them shipped by a freight company instead of a parcel carrier. |

Ya, that seems to be the way we're gonna go. 'bout $8 a tire that way, which is much better than the single-tire $25/each price! |

I'd say NEMF, but I don't think we service the part of IL he's in, the only terminal we have over there is in Chicago. The best advice I can give is to stay away from the yrc companies. They could close up at any time, tying up your stuff for weeks. Also, a lot of freight companies want to charge extra for residential deliveries, so tell him before he picks a carrier to make sure there's a terminal near enough to you to go pick it up from them. |

I'm just gonna have him ship to me at work. We've got a dock, and a forklift, and EVERYthing, lol |
