Short version is Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson awarded scholarship money to her family and friends. How stupid are these people? That makes 3 liberal politicians in the congressional black caucus this year to be in trouble for similar violations. Charlie rangel and then maxine waters who believes people like her should set wages for us common folk and that people like her should be in control of the banks, auto industry, oil and gas you name it. This is why people are so angry. Alot of idiots that vote think they can level the playing field by giving politicians like waters, rangel and bernice the power to control private industry, healthcare and other sectors. As if the politician is less corrupt than the ceo. Republicans are no stranger to corruption either but democrats are doing a great job this year so far. So lets give them more power over our lives. F them and the people who voted for them. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/lat estnews/stories/082910dntexcongress.2c049bb.html |

Has nothing to do with race. Race should not be an issue. Morgan Freeman is 100% correct. |

In my eyes these people feel entitled above all others, they don't see it as corruption, it's there privilege, a right due to there political hierarchy. |

Race has nothing to do with their corruption. They make their careers about race so I think its relevant to mention their affiliation. |

When I read the initial article, the thing that struck me most was that, at 74 yrs old, she received $174,000 in salary plus $35,000 in pension, & still raked in another $22,000 from social security!! I'm not familiar with your S/S system there, but here it's to help those that have little, rather than people who are knocking down over 17k a month!!! Have I missed something? |

Grumpy, yes, you have. She's a politician and thus is above us little people and the laws they make on us. |

Looks like just a normal day of Chicago style politics to me. I have never seen so many corrupt politicians as here in this great Chicago metro area. Can't wait to move! |

I see today that Mayor Daley isn't going to run again. What kind of deal was made to make room for Rahm? |

The ruling class. They don't have a clue, or maybe they do. |

Anybody who thinks Daley will ever get his hand out of the cookie jar needs to think again. |
